Sibling for Addison!!!

When I had my daughter back in 2009, I wanted a cute, sophisticated and classy name. Following my initials.

I chose Addison Jane. We call her Addie and I'm obsessed with everything about it, minus the now 6 of them in her class.

With baby on the way I am partial to keeping the A J trend going and I really want to keep the -son.


Anderson James (Anders) is what I have picked for a boy and I'm torn between Anniston James (Annie) and Anniston Jo.

Other names I am COMPLETELY open to!! Help a mommy out!

Personally I think having 2 kids who have names that start with A and end in -son is way too much and way too similar for siblings. I like Anderson but Anniston is bad Suggestions: Alexandra, Amelia. Anneliese, Aurora, Adele, Alexis, Alice

I agree with PP- I think starting a trend of A names that end in -son is not only far too "cutesy" and similar but also, severely limiting. There are so many awesome boy names, why force yourself to stick to the few that fit your criteria?

Plus, personally it would drive me nuts to have such a similar name to a sibling - half the time they probably won't know which one of them you are calling and it makes it that much easier to mix up their names.

@ProfessorMcGonagall‌ (AWESOME username btw!) named all my favorite A names already! I also like Annabel and Amy. For boys I like Aaron, Adam, Andrew, and Austin.

I think the a-son thing it way to matchy/cutesy. I like just Anders.

I really dislike Anniston for a girl. What about Anastasia?

Your style is very "2012-14" and if you want to avoid kids in class with the same name, I don't think I'd use any of these.

The only A name I can think of that's actually a real girl name (because the "son" ending means well, "son of", which doesn't make since if it's a girl) is Alison. Personally, I steer clear if the same letter and ending. I like Asher from your boy list, may I also suggest Archer?
