Babies on the Brain

Hello…Newbie Alert

Hello, I'm new here and just wanted to say hello. I've been a lurker for awhile but figure enough is enough already, just say something!
Husband and I have been TTC for the past 2 months. First child for both of us. Will be a first pregnancy for me. I live a fairly active and healthy lifestyle but for some reason thought that it would just happen on our first try. I even psyched myself into thinking I was having morning sickness. LOLOL!! Anyways, I now realize it may be harder than initially expected so wanted to join the boards and get as much feedback and info from others as possible. I'm 35yrs old btw. I don't feel it but I guess it goes without saying that I'm now in the high risk category. GULP!
Looking fwd to hearing about your stories.

  • I did the same thing! My husband and I have been ttc for 5 months and after the first month I thought it would just insta happen and convinced myself I was pregnant after my boobs were sore. I then researched phantom symptoms and realized i was just a little too baby crazy. A few disappointing weeks later reality hit! Good luck I hope it happens quickly for you :)

  • Welcome from a fellow newb!
No longer posting on The Bump due to the appalling misconduct of the staff and of its parent company, the XO Group. Four thousand  active, engaged members do not represent "a few bad apples" and we are not trolls.
  • Welcome, I'm also a fellow newbie :)

I haven't even tried to introduce myself yet... just been lurking for a few weeks. Hubby and I are approaching our one year wedding anniversary in a couple weeks. We're planning to start TTC at the end of this year. I have a copper IUD that I will be getting removed in either Dec or Jan in preparation and then we'll see what happens.

I will turn 34 this July, so I know I'm cutting it close to the over 35/ high risk category, but oh well. Life has it's own agenda and timeline, so I'm just planning to go with the flow and if we have no luck after trying for a year then I'll look into some alternative methods.

Anywho, enough about me! Best of luck to you and hope to see you posting more :)
