Country Save question

I've been using Country Save since I started CDs. Now I'm questioning how much I should be using....they smell clean when they come out, and there is no barn yard smell when he pees (I definitely can smell when he pees, but it's just the pee smell). I've been using a scoop in my HE FL, but I'm second guessing myself.

If your routine is working so far, there's no need to question or change it. I've wondered the same thing, but haven't had a problem yet, so I stick with what's working.

That seems like a lot, but then again, as pp said, it seems to be working for you.  We have a top loader non-HE washer and I use just under a full scoop.  When we visit my IL's I use just up to the first line (like half a scoop) because they have a FL HE washer.

I'm going to disagree and say that if you smell your 7 month old's pee when he pees it's not normal.

You know what, that's a pretty true statement. My LO is 21 m and I only notice her pee smell when it's an ON diaper. Maybe detergent buildup causing ammonia smell when wet?

Ok, I'll adjust the amount. Let me just say, I hate my FL, I wish I would thought ahead when we bought it.

I would do a good hot water strip first. Even if you use less detergent, if there is a build up  you won't know if you fixed the problem or not. So do a couple of washes on hot to make sure you get everything out. And them try a little less.

Jo is almost 7 months. I only notice pee sometimes in some of her over night diapers (and those are ones that we bought used and they had a buildup in them).
