So last week i had to leave early due to a migraine. FF to today when our timesheets are due. I wrote my time down as vacation (because i have 3 weeks) and my boss gave me a verbal warning saying that it had to be leave uncompensated. BULLSHIT we have used vacation time a thousand times before what is up your ass today?!! PS i have a lo at home and if he is sick i have to be gone. They will have to fire me if it comes down to it...
Ok SO
I have starting looking at jobs in our local school district. I'm tired of not being able to take off when needed. I figure this way most of the time i will need off will be covered through my job (holidays, snow days, ect). It may be a little dramatic, but i think i would be happier. This job was perfect until you have kids. Then shit hits the fan and suddenly your the worst employee...
What do you do now? Will it transfer into working in schools? If you have an administrative type of job, you might want to look into colleges and universities as well. we don't share all the school holidays but flexibility and benefits are pretty awesome.

I am in sales at a printing company. I do mostly administrative type stuff. I'm very familiar with excel, word, accounting, ect. And thanks! Colleges are a great idea! We actually have one here!
Yikes-- that sounds pretty crappy of your boss. Sorry you are having to deal with that-- I hope if you decide to look for anew job you find something sooner than later.

I don't like my job. It pays well and has great benefits these are the reasons why i stay. I don't like the work i do nor do i like most of the policy's/morals/people that i work for.
I would love to work for our school district. It would mean more time with LO and less stress.
I have checked into our district. We also have 2 private schools and a college. I also looked for our surrounding districts and called a friend that works in another district.
Ideally i would like to have a new job when the school year starts. So that will be my new goal!
Having dealt with chronic migraines while working, I sympathize. People don't get it. You don't "look" or "sound" sick, and how can a headache possibly be that bad? Yeah right!
Good luck on your search. I have no advice, just hope you find something you like!
