So my one month old baby has already started outpeeing microfiber so it has become clear that all the inserts that came with my diapers are not going to cut it. I'm looking for something economical as I'm not going to spend almost as much money on an insert as on a diaper (so the $7-$8 inserts I've been seeing are not for me!) This baby is a heavy wetter, so I need something that is going to be really absorbant. I have some bamboo inserts but they aren't wide enough (they are homemade by my mom) for most diapers and leaks still happen. The couple bamboo inserts I have that are wide enough don't seem to be absorbant at all (they are Kawaii). I have ordered some prefolds to try those out as inserts.
My baby has skinny legs as well so I need to be careful about over stuffing because I get leg gaps.
Any suggestions? I appreciate it!

I do use my OS flips with him (my flips are really the only ones he doesn't leak out of! My newborn pockets are what I'm struggling with) so it's possible he will fit into some of my 4.0s, I just haven't tried them yet. He's really only around 8 lbs. I don't mind the bulk at this stage though, it's kind of cute! I just cant have it be so bulky that he gets leg gaps. My prefolds I ordered are set to arrive tomorrow (osocozy ones) so I can't wait to prep and try them out too.
