snap and go for a chicco

For my son we had an Evenflo travel system that I hated.

With this new baby I have a Chicco keyfit 30 that I bought from a friend (no accidents and not expired)

anyway, she kept the stroller so I want to find a snap and go stroller, but I have heard that not all fit the Chicco Key Fit30

Does anyone know which ones work for that Carseat?

Chicco Key Fit Caddy, Safety 1st Clic It, Baby Trend Snap N Go, and Joovy Roo.

I think as far as set up the Chicco and Safety 1st are the nicest.

  • The only one that "clicks" into the stroller is the Chicco and possibly the graco click connect.

  • I have the Chicco Key Fit Caddy and LOVE it. The Chicco Key Fit 30 (of course) snaps right in; it is very easy to use and well worth it.

I was also going to suggest skipping it.  We have an adapter bar for the city mini.  The snap n go is only useful as long as you are using the infant seat.  For a lot of people, that's like 6 months.  Then you have to store it somewhere and get another stroller anyay.  It's much easier the store a tiny adapter bar and continue using the same stroller.

I'm probably not the norm but I've used my SnG stroller a ton. Pharmacy and short store runs(even carted two 12 packs of soda & some food out in it), left it at the daycare (& was able to tote in a months worth of diapers), and in the car. It's just easier IMO when your in a hurry (esp with more than 1 kid) and need a place to put stuff. Especially if you have the one that snaps with your car seat.

I already have 2 other strollers - a jogging (can't get a infant carrier bar for it though) and a Chicco umbrella for when baby is bigger. gotten a lot of use.  I love both of those strollers and they have already gotten quite a bit of use.     They will get used for the next baby too

I just want a snap and go for the super little infant stage.

I am all for buying used, just wanted to know which brand works best.

I will sell it once I am done, along with all the other baby gear that we have, since after this baby we are done.

A baby shouldn't be left in the car seat.  It is unsafe for them.  It is better if they are laid flat.  I don't to SNG because of this.  I have only used the infant adapter for my car seat, when flying internationally, but packed the bassinet as well.

It is NOT unsafe.  If it were unsafe, infant car seats would be outlawed.  An Infant car  seat is no different than a baby swing.  Same angle.

If your newborn infant is premature or has breathing issues, then you may want to limit the time they are in the infant seat in the beginning.

yeah - I don't really need a lecture on carseats.   I have already had one infant. I know what I am doing.   I need an stroller for when we go to the mall, or zoo, not for him to live in.

    Chill out.

  • We will have the keyfit 30 and the activ3 chicco jogging stroller, and they click together. Just seemed easier for us, and we're also inheriting the keyfit, so all we have to get is the stroller and we're mobile.

Then explain to me the lack choices for strollers that allow a child to lay flat.

There are, but they cost an arm and a leg.  It is totally unnecessary and extreme.  I know my babies would never want to lay flat in a stroller.  They like being a little scrunched :)

I got one for $15 off a swap sight.  It will work for the time LO is in the car seat and then we will move him to the jogging stroller and Chicco umbrella stroller that we already have and love.

    Problem solved

Choosing between a snap n go and a adapter bar varies based on your individual situation. If you don't have a lot of storage, then the adapter bar is probably a better option because it is smaller to store. However, if you do have the storage, I would recommend the Snap N Go. You can easily find a used one for much cheaper than the adapter bar. And if you end up having a c-section, a Snap N Go would fit within the 10lb lifting restriction for the first 6 weeks. Just be warned that you will be spoiled by the Snap N Go and think that the full size stroller is super heavy when you eventually make the transition.
