Ditto PP. Pamela already has a common nickname associated with it. Obviously you can call your child whatever you want, but those nicknames don't seem to me like they "go with" the name Pamela. If you like Pamela, I'd go with Pam or Pammy. (I also know a "Pami.") If you prefer one of your other nicknames, use them as your child's name instead.
Elle and Ella are perfectly nice names in their own right, they're not really go to nicknames for anything. I hear Mimi and I think of Grandma. I have no idea what Mela is.
If you don't like Pam or Pammy, I'd move Pamela to the MN spot.
This exactly. I find it amusing how many people seem to reeeally be stretching for ways to use Elle and Ella as nicknames. If you want to call her Elle or Ella, just give her one of those names- these aren't nn's for Pamela.

I agree with the PP. The only real nickname for Pamela is Pam. Or Pammy. You're not going to be able to convincingly get Elle or Ella out of it. If, however, you really love those names, they are perfectly good names on their own! No need to glean them as nicknames.
My name is Pamela and I've always been Pam whether I like it or not. Pammy to my grandparents. My dad used to call me Pumpers and Big Guy growing up. I think you just have to see what fits well. I was actually called by a nickname for my last name when I was growing up through sports and what not at school. Now my son's name is my maiden name and we use that nn for him.
