Help! GMD Prefold Blowouts

I have been dealing with blow outs from my organic orange edge newborn GMD prefolds. I have an 8 week old and use the jelly roll fold with thirsties duo wrap. I make sure everything is tucked in but still having blow outs! Any suggestions for a different fold to contain newborn poo?

Are they maybe just getting too small and it's time to go up a size?

Yep, whenever we start blowing out at every poo we know it's time to move on up. Which is why I am prepping my brown edges from my almost 5mo

8 weeks does sound like he could be too big. How long have you been having blowouts?

How big is your LO?

DD started wearing the mediums at about 13 lbs, though I needed to fold them down a little to make them the right length. Also, the mediums will *not* fit under a Thirsties Duo size 1 cover.

Small. Granted, DS outgrew a snappi'd small around 3/4 months (chunky baby!), I did buy the mediums, but now on solids we just trifold the smalls. Easier to spray, trimmer than the reds.

I'd probably go with small then.

DD was ~13lbs at 10 weeks, I think, and was a total chubster so the mediums weren't too crazy on her. She wore them for well over a year, though.
