Multiples

Tracking feeds / sleep

Does anyone have an effective system for tracking when and how much your multiples eat as well as their naps and overnight sleep? I tried the BabyConnect App but found it to be too cumbersome.

I have the Sprout app. I just track feeding and pumping. There is a section for sleep though.

  • I use the ibaby app because it was free and I can use it for two. I just track eating and sleeping, but there are lots of other features too. I haven't used others to compare, but that one has worked just fine.

  • I use the Total Baby app. It's not free but it was designed for twins in mind.

  • I just tracked feeds and used an old app from when I had my oldest - it's called nursing master but I wouldn't rec it.

  • I'm old school. I used a composition book and just did a page per day. I put each name on the top, drew a line that was it. I documented sleep and feeding (amount and time of day). I found it very helpful.  I still have this books and shudder a little bit when I flip through them. LOL. Those early weeks…phew!

Kind of this but I went high tech - lol and made a chart and had 3 pages/3 binders for each of my LOs. I inputted into excel on a bi-weekly-ish basis and could really quickly see patterns (in excel I had all 3 babies on the same chart).

I tracked sleep, naps, feeds (with amounts), poops and pees, meds and new behaviours.

  • With my oldest, I downloaded the data from my app and then put everything into excel so I could analyze patterns.

I kinda knew what to expect this time around, so I just scrolled back through the log on the app to figure out their "schedule".

I sort of did this too...only I made a spreadsheet in Excel with different columns for feedings, naps, diapers etc. and kept the pages in a binder to fill in by hand. I also found mine recently and, man.....those were the days.....

I had an itzbeen for each kiddo, labeled with their name (and a different color). But I had them on the same schedule and changed diapers after feeds consistently, so it wasn't challenging to keep up with.
