This is a special weekly Thursday check-in for all of us who have crossed into our 40's. We all hang out on TTC after 35, but we all know that once you hit your fabulous 40's and are TTC it is just different.
There is a regular Weekly Check In on Wednesdays for all on this board, so feel free to post on both check-ins if you like. If you are completely new to the TTC after 35 board and haven't done a formal intro please do that before posting here!
1. Your Name and/or Screen Name (no full names) and the State you live in and what number are you TTC (i.e first, second, third child).
2. Where are you in your cycle and what kind of cycle is it (IVF, IUI, Natural... etc)?
3. What medications, supplements, treatments and/or special diet are part of your cycle that are helping you with TTC?
4. Who do you want to give a shout out to this week from our board (or somewhere else if applicable)?
5. Weekly Vent - Go ahead, vent on one thing that is really irking you this week, promise you will feel better after.
**Name That Action (NTA) ** What is something that you have learned from your past and then were able to let go of?

Re: Weekly Check-In For The **Over 40** Crowd
2. 11 DPO, last natural cycle before RE referral
3. Wheatgrass, raspberry leaf tea, maca, royal jelly, CoQ10, DHEA, prentals, folic acid, calcium/magnesium/Vitamin D. And acupuncture.
4. Who do you want to give a shout out to this week from our board (or somewhere else if applicable)? It seems like a lot of you guys are having truly disappointing, anxiety-inducing, generally craptacular weeks. Hugs to everyone who could use a little extra support right now.
5. Weekly Vent - Not much this week. I don't feel good physically, but other than that...things are pretty good.
6. Hmmm. I'm still working on this one, but I've learned that it's OK not to be liked. I used to be quite the people-pleaser (or try to be, because it never really works), and I am gradually learning to let that go. As long as you're not objectively being a jerk, it's so important to set boundaries, advocate for yourself, and say no, even if it ruffles peoples' feathers.
Me: 41, DH: 45

2. DE FET #1. Just started estrace. @PrivateOne I'm not sure why I'm not doing the biopsy. Guess I feel I don't need it. We will do AH though. They are putting me on higher dose estrogen and progesterone. Heck lab scared me when they said embryo can be damaged when doing AH. I was like jeez thanks for telling me!
3. Just what I need for my cycle.
4. I just think you ladies are so funny at times. Why can't I be witty? Lol
5. I lost my $500 gift card I received for Anthropology. I'm so mad. Hopefully it will turn up this weekend. I need some clothes.
**NTA**
@Davies813 that is a good one. I can see a bit of that in me.
I used to not be able to say no to all the bosses I have had. If they needed me I would drop whatever I was doing to go to work. My nanny job I rarely said no and my ex-husband and I would get into fights over this. I just feel guilty. I am learning to say no less. I don't understand why this is so hard for me. I already work 55 hrs but when they need me more I run lol. I already feel bad that I can't spend the night the day of my transfer while boss is away.
Ok I'm still bit hungover so guess I really didn't answer the question because I really haven't let go yet!! A little though

2. Just hanging around, not trying anything. BUT - have nurse consult for IVF next Tuesday. Dr. was "intrigued" by my low-dose clomid response, which was enough for me to say -what the heck - let's go for an IVF with my own eggs.
3. I have been doing acupuncture since January, and have recently added DHEA and Royal Jelly tablets. And even more recently, due to 'constant nagging' from my acupuncturist, have been giving up wheat and similar products (i.e. going gluten free)
5. Weekly Vent - grammar! and people's inability to use it correctly.
