Shrimp problem?

Is it possible that what I eat can give my LO bad gas?

I had shrimp the other day, pumped, and fed it to her. Later she cried and winced and had awful gas.

FFWD to today; and I had peel and eat shrimp. She apparently was crying with my mom while DH and I went to a movie. She drank a bottle from the fridge that I pumped a couple days ago before the shrimp and was fine.

Is this normal? I mean obv I am going to stop eating shrimp although I LOVE it but is this a usual thing? :((

  • Yup happens all of the time. I try To remember what gives Colton gas but it doesn't happen all of the time!

I had to give up peppers and onions :(

  • I can't eat Taco Bell :((
  • Onions are a problem for us. A little chopped onion spread throughout a recipe is ok, but anything more makes him really fussy.

  • Mmm....shrimp! Before I knew I was pregnant my body craved shrimp! I ate it for basically every dinner two weekends in a row! Dangit! Now I REALLY want some!

I found that LO pukes (like majorly) when I eat cookie dough. This is horribly devastating to me

Almost worth switching to formula! A life without cookie dough is no life at all!!

I'm joking obviously..... But why couldn't it have been something like sprouts for you?!
  • Broccoli, cauliflower and beans give my LO screaming gas pains. Learned that the hard way this weekend :(. Also if I eat too much cheese.

It sucks having to remember every little thing I eat, but it's worse listening to that little scream right before she farts. The mom guilt is very real when that happens.

What a breastfeeding mom eats can definitely affect LO.
That's how many women figure out their LOs have a dairy sensitivity (or any other food).

In general, I've found that if a food gives ME gas, it's likely to give LO gas.
  • I THINK onions and peppers. I had steak fajitas a month ago and the next day she was SO gassy and fussy. I'm not sure if it was do to the fajitas or not, but I'm not going to sit down and test it out with another fajita. I'd feel horrible, so I'm just avoiding peppers and onions for the time being.

    I'd never quit fajitas.

Same here :( I've had it twice, and both times my wonderful babies turned into grumpy, gassy babies

Too many tomatoes give him bad gas and a diaper rash.
