Trying to Get Pregnant

Symptoms at 7/8 DPO, any feedback? :o)

Hi ladies!!  I have been driving myself nuts, taking tests when I clearly know it's too early to do so.  So, I thought I would start a discussion to help take my mind off of things.  So yesterday I had all kinds of crazy symptoms, like really bad nausea, dizziness, tightness in lower abdomen, this weird lump like feeling in my throat and cramping.  Today, there was a little nausea (especially after I ate), but I'm also having sharp pains in my lower abdomen (not strong ones) it almost feels like gas pains.  My lower back feels sore, like I was working out and by breasts are sore on the sides and underneath with some dull pain.  I was pregnant before, and had an MC :(  And my only symptoms were implantation cramps (so bad it woke me up out of a dead sleep!) and a tad bit of nausea the morning AF was due.  Now I'm having all these other symptoms that are definitely not normal for me after I ovulate.   I'm hoping to get some feedback from all of you.  Maybe even some of you who had these symptoms and went on to have a healthy baby.  Thanks so much!  So excited to have my first board!!  All of you seem so sweet!  :o<3

  • I'm sorry for your loss.  Have you tested?  Generally, I follow the "if you are pregnant enough to feel symptoms, you are pregnant enough for a positive test."  With my first pregnancy, I had a positive test at 8dpo with zero symptoms.  The month before, I had every "symptom" in the book and I wasn't pregnant.  The mind is a crazy thing.

I would test and keep testing until you get your period. Otherwise symptoms could mean you are pregnant or could just be in your head.

If you are pregnant enough for symptoms you are pregnant enough to turn a test positive.

Are you charting and temping to know you are 7dpo?

ETA: I'm sorry for you loss.

Have you taken a test (even though you know it's early)? Also, someone else's symptoms have nothing to do with your own.

Hi PinkRoses.  :o)  Yup, I have.  I tested about an hour ago, and a couple days ago, which was waaaay to early.  I'm going to do all I can to wait until this Sunday morning to test, but I don't know if I can hold out that long.  Ugh!  This waiting is killing me!!!
  • I tested today and tested a couple days ago.  I agree, I know that I probably have not implanted yet, if that is in my plans this month.  I keep telling myself to relax and wait until 10 DPO.  It's not easy at all.  But, I also am trying to be realistic!!

Have you been temping? Are you sure you're 10 DPO?

Yes, I charted.  I was not temping though.  If I don't get BFP this month, I'm definitely going to do both charting and temping next month.  But let's hope that I won't have to worry about next month!  ;o)
  • What is throwing me is that I have never had these symptoms before.  Not even right before AF.  I have read on many other boards that there are a lot of women who can feel that they are pregnant within days of ovulating.  I'm trying not to get too excited of course, I mean I totally get that this could all be a coincidence.  It's not in my head though because I honestly was not expecting to have any symptoms at all until AF was due.

I think I'm 7/8 DPO.  I am trying to wait until 10 DPO to test again.   :o)
  • We have daily posts called "2ww" and "WTO". We like to post all of our crazy symptoms and test addictions in the "2ww" and when we're waiting to ovulate, we gripe in the "WTO". I would definitely start using those. Edit: oops I just saw your post @SNLT1012‌ , brain twins?
Thank you!!!  :o)  Those sound like great boards.  lol

  • I'm reading a lot about progesterone and how right after you ovulate, progesterone levels go up which causes a lot of women to experience symptoms similar to pregnancy symptoms. So, I don't think that it's necessarily all in our heads that some of us think we're experiencing symptoms. But now I understand that it's all a bunch of trickery! Darn hormones. lol
  • Update for today: Slight nausea, tender bb's, sore in lower abdomen and back. I believe I'm at 8 dpo today. Going to hold off on any testing for at least a couple days. I'll update as I go for anyone who is following. Have a wonderful weekend ladies!! Baby dust to all!! xo
  • I also invite you to join us in the 2WW thread we have every day!

Ovulation & increased progesterone is NOT implantation & pregnancy. All women can experience symptoms from ovulation and progesterone, pregnant or not, since those symptoms are NOT PREGNANCY SYMPTOMS. Anything you're feeling before implantation is O symptoms, and are not indicative of pregnancy in any way (especially since at 7 dpo implantation very likely has not even occurred).

Sorry for your loss. The general rule is if you are pregnant enough for symptoms you are pregnant enough to turn a test. If you do not temp and chart your basel body temp then you have no idea if you are late or even if you ovulated. Negative test = not pregnant at this time. You say you've never had these symptoms before. However our bodied change. Symptoms change. Pregnancy symptoms can mirror period symptoms. Also even if someone somewhere has had these symptoms they have no bearing on if their results from these symptoms being the same for you.

    Please read the newbie blog.

It's a bummer, but you sound like me, you're probably so excited that you read into everything and may even work yourself up to a phantom pregnancy.
Keep waiting. I have faith in your ability to resist testing! (Like I'm trying to do myself! Lol)

I understand why the "baby dust" can be hurtful. So I'm going to go with,

I am wishing them "good luck", in the form of good sperm. How is that a bad thing? Especially if they're experiencing MFI, good luck to them!
I'm sorry you don't like it. It amuses me so I'm going to stick with it.

Also, I like the OP's updates! I want to know and commiserate with someone who is also struggling with the 2WW! Good on you, OP!

The Newbie Blog has more details about the Two Week Wait (and Waiting to Ovulate) threads which is where we post these types of updates.

If everyone started a thread for themselves each month to update on symptoms, frustrations, how many DPO they were, etc, the board would be so full of those posts that it would be difficult to keep it straight!

The Two Week Wait thread is also a great way to get to know other bumpies that are going through the same thing, so you're able to become a part of the community.  See ya there soon!

No, but can you explain to me why there's so many of them that all seem to be during this week. Im new here, trying to understand, not offend people, and find a 2WW thread to post on, but every 5th thread says "Monday 2WW", or "Thursday 2WW" is there just a new one every day that you should switch to if you really want to post about it? Im not trying to be annoying or stupid, I'm trying to find out how this site works and get the most out of it without getting into fights over where I've mistakenly posted.
  • QuendiQuendi member
Okay, its a daily one. Did more reading, thank you, no need to respond.

Correct, every day there is a thread for the 2WW so people can update based on the day of the cycle they are on.  If you get AF then you switch to the Waiting to Ovulate thread (which is also a new thread daily).

Like i said, this is both to get to know other women on this site and to keep everything in the same place.  There are a lot of women coming in and out of this site, so a daily thread for each of these items is the easiest way to keep track and make sure people get questions answered and are able to share any concerns.

No one is angry at you for posting here, but it would be super cray if everyone here started their own thread daily/per cycle.  We would never be able to read through all of them :).
