March 2014 Moms

Well F!!!!!!!!

So since daycar was increasing prices we canceled our spot and our cousin has watched the first three weeks and now decided it's to much.

I'm not mad at her- I'll never be mad at someone for being honest with me.

Problem is now both day cares it have to get back on a wait list and won't get in until late august/September.

Other option a friend of our cousin watches kids and actually watches my husbands co-worker child. Good things said.

What would you do? Daycare or a recommended home care that you don't know the person????

    Daycare.

  • Interview the home care. My 3 yr old son goes to an in home day care and we love it. I didn't know them and was just recommended to them and it has been wonderful.
  • Do a meet and greet, check references and credentials and make a decision from there. I would also drive past the house unannounced and also just stop by for a surprise visit.
  • Daycare. They are alway there if the teacher is sick there is always someone there to fill in. There is accountability if a teacher is feeling overwhelmed there is someone there to give them a break.

  • You should investigate both options more carefully before deciding. Interview the day care and babysitter. Look up reviews online.
  • Thanks ladies!

I have my app in at the daycare.

Saturday we are doing two interviews.

1- grime care.com and would be in home daycare. Willing to work three days from 6a-5p. Flexible with pay ( will work with me) and will clean if I want her to. She's a CNA ( or was ) still has her licsience ( totally misspelled)

2- recommended by our cousin at home daycare close to my husbands work. Flexible with days and hours. Only problem would be football season when he coaches and isn't done until 8pm. I would need someone to get her from 5-8 two days a week.

Honestly I hope option one clicks with us and her references check out. Because not having to wake Sloan up would be amazing! Plus during football season my mIl could come here after work and do bedtime routine until we get home ( she wouldn't drive 30 min out of her way to pick Sloan up only to have to drive another 30 min).

If we did in home I probably would get the wifi cameras to check in
