Here's mine all. I agree with the whole kid leash thing. I used to think that was crazy. Putting you're kids on leashes? what!? But I think it depends on the child and it can literally save their life.
I have a runner and there are days I'm seriously thinking about getting one. In a crowd, he can zig zag between people easier than an adult and get pretty far from me. We are still using the stroller as much as possible though.

We are going on vacation this summer, DS will be almost 2. I am totally buying a leash for him for the airport. He's quick, and juggling luggage too, it just seems like the logical choice! Especially around the shuttle busses and people doing pick-ups/drop-offs.
I'm just going to make a list...

9/11 should be made a "holiday". Not in the celebration kind of way. But as a day of remembrance.
yes i do think 9/11 should be a day of national observence (is that a thing? you know what i mean) maybe i feel so strongly bc im a ny'er but ground zero still gives me chills and video of that day still brings tears to my eyes. i was in nyc on 9/11 and it is something i will never forget. i used to walk by ground zero everyday to the train station and seeing asshole kids skateboarding and shit really pissed me off. i think people need to have more respect when visiting the site. thinking about all those poor people makes me rage.

Got one! I am not trying to hurt anyone's feelings, but I don't like parents who don't discipline. Working at a preschool, I see this a lot. No, you don't have to spank your child! But children need structure. Saying you let your 4 year old do whatever he/she wants is not structure. Tell them no or something!!
I don't understand women who get wrapped up in planning their birthing experience. It's a freaking medical procedure. You don't see people making a soundtrack when they go in to have surgery, do you? Exactly this to both of you. I don't think any ny'er can watch video to this day and not have tears in their eyes..if they do they have no heart. I think I can say for both @brooklyngirl18 & @AmandaRae529 that the day and everything that transpired is imprinted into our brains. I like many others actually lost a friend that day...and unfortunately know others who lost half their families...I don't understand how it isn't a day of observance. It truly baffles me

@smboswell1 I couldn't agree more! I have afriend who's son is so disrespectful to everyone adults, children whoever. We pretty much stopped going over its pretty sad when a 4 year old runs the household!
While I enjoy connecting and participating with you ladies - my OU is I hate TB's website!! Ugh I have tried like 10 friggin times to update my siggy and get a more personalized bio so that I start to become a bit more noticeable when I post but the site never lets me! Due to work and having a toddler at home its hard for me to stay up to date completely, and so I'm sure when I am able to post it gets overlooked (other than you ladies thinking - oh here's that chick whose 100+ weeks pregnant!) TB - get your shit together! (ps i just tried again to update - watch it finally worked after my rant!)
I personally have no interest whatsoever in watching The Walking Dead (not that I don't love me some Zombies) and Game of Thrones...aaahh to get it off my chest lol

I also do not like Matthew McConaughey. He's so greasy and blech.
DH isn't greasy, but there's a part of me that loves greasy guys. Matthew McConaughey, yep! Fictional characters like Captain Jack Sparrow and Jax from SOA too.

So true. It so sad this is an uo. especially in dh's side of a family. When dd(2) sticks to her sleep schedule she's a dream. But when we go over to dhs parents they are always in mexico mode where when we arrive at 530 and they are pulling the meat out to defrost. they just don't get it. So we always have to dine and dash after dinner to put her to sleep. why the rush? they say. ugh... both sil let their kids run wild and stay way late.i think they need schedules way more

~Nov14 Moms November Siggy Challenge: CELEBRATION!! ~
No disrespect to any of the ladies who may sell these products, but I have a number of friends on Facebook who sell "Rodan + Fields" skincare and "It Works!" wraps, and they clot up my FB feed with like a million posts that are filled with lots of #hashtags and EXCLAMATIONS POINTS!!!! about how wonderful their products are and how I should grab onto this AMAZING OPPORTUNITY to get in with a TOP COMPANY for this, that and the other, and how they're making twice their old salary for doing 4 hours a week of work while spending quality time with their families, and then their friends (who are apparently ALSO R&F or It Works consultants) post super-sugary replies back and forth to each other on said post--things like: "SO happy to be working with you on this AMAZING JOURNEY!!! You're the greatest!!!" and then "No, YOUUUU are the greatest!!!! Can't wait for our FANTASTIC trip to Napa and driving the Lexus" or whatever car it is they get when they sell X amounts of units, or some such nonsense. ENOUGH.
I could forgive these posts, I really could....hey, we all have to make a living, and these business models are based on people getting their friends and family involved. I totally get that.. I could scroll past them quickly and not give a hoot.... But then these folks tag me in their posts about their business.... And that, my friends, makes me very, VERY stabby.
Surprisingly, I do not have the same reaction to any posts from friends selling Tastefully Simple products, because those are FOOD and food makes me giddy with joy (when I am not throwing it up anyway). Double standard? Probably, but the ladies hawking Tastefully Simple don't tag me in their posts (probably because they know I am good for at least a caramel sauce and a dip mix regardless). And for that, I am grateful.
Carry on!

I agree. Its a life event. I was so upset it didn't go anywhere near what I wanted last time.

I agree. Birth is not a medical procedure. I'm glad to have a medical facility if I need it but I am a woman, my body was made to give birth.
This is in no way directed at any ladies on this board, but I hate it when people hide behind the internet just to be mean and nasty to people. I read an article yesterday and one of the ladies in the story was a stay at home mom. The very first comment was something to the effect of she calls herself a stay at home mom; I would call her a moocher. I'm about 90% sure that man would never have the guts to say that to a SAHM's face. Then today on FB there was a question posted on one of the mother groups I am in about to honor a sister's baby that was still born. One of the posters basically said she shouldn't still be upset because the baby passed 10 years ago and that if she's still upset she might have PPD.

I agree and disagree with parts of this. First birth really isn't a medial procedure but I do think women need to understand that some things can't be controlled. Just because you have a birth plan doesn't mean that's the way it is going to go down. My first L&D is a prime example of that. My birth plan basically laughed in my face.

Okay, I understand where you're coming from on that. Maybe "medical procedure" wasn't the best word to use.

You're absolutely right @missnacholover. I guess being so close and knowing people that were there, both to help and who lost their lives, hits a little hard on days like today and on 9/11 every year. Going to NYC and/or driving through there often and not seeing the World Trade Center in the skyline is a constant reminder as well.
Edit: To reiterate what you said...it affects everyone in some way. Which is the main reason I believe it should be a national day of remembrance.

I've never seen or probably never will see the Rocky Picture Horor Show even thought at one point I owned it (my ex has it now) with the intention of watching it.

It really bothers me when people post 17 pics a day of their dogs doing various things. I love animals but it just shows that you have too much time on your hands. Also, when people wish themselves or others happy Mother's Day because they have fur babies. Seriously!? Having a dog or cat is nowhere near as mentally taxing or labor intensive as having a baby.
I hate water! I hate tap water and bottled water, I hate flavoured water. Yuck! I hate how it makes me feel uber bloated. I gag down a few cups a day but hate when someone comments on how much water I NEED to be drinking because I am pregnant. I eat tons of fruit and veggies with water so STFU! That's all:)
