TTC After a Loss

TTC again after two losses

I have recently decided to TTC again 3 months ago.  A few years ago I had two losses and wanted to wait to TTC.  These are some of the things I have done.

u/s for shape of uterus

blood work for ovulation

blood work for progesterone

SFA

and possibly looking at my tubes soon

I am possibly going to start Clomid and I am on progesterone.

It is really difficult to be patient and not get completely frustrated but I think the more I talk about it the more I don't even want to think about it.  Maybe it will help if I don't think about it so much.

Welcome, and I'm sorry for your losses. I too am TTC after two losses. With Clomid, will you be monitored by an RE? I haven't been offered it yet, but after reading stories here, I know how important proper monitoring is. There is lots of great info in the newbie blog. Being patient is difficult. That's why I love this board! It's a great place to give and get support.
It seems like it is more supportive than some of the other boards.  I really appreciate your response, this is the first time I have ever used message boards.  I will be a high risk patient because I have Sjogrens Syndrome and the antibody SS-B and my high risk  has suggested I go back to my RE to continue my care until I get pregnant.   She recommended this because they are through the same hospital and she will be able to see everything that we are doing.  I currently see an ob that is through a different hospital and by what everyone is saying on another board I should definitely be seeing a RE, not an ob for all of this.

  • Sorry for your losses.  There are a lot of really supportive ladies on these boards here.  I have quickly come to realize that sometimes the women within these boards are the only ones that truly know and understand exactly what I am going through.  So lean on all of that support, we are all here for each other!  I am TTC after 3 losses.  It certainly is difficult to be patient like you have said, but hopefully with the support of your doctors you will be able to be monitored closely and have a successful pregnancy very soon.  Welcome!

I am sorry for the losses.  It's great that your tests and levels are normal.  After some tests I did that were normal they checked my progesterone, which I need to do again and I am in the process of  getting on progesterone and Clomid but I might see another RE because of some suggestions I have got on another board.  Overall it is just a frustrating process and I hope all goes well for you.

Just wanted to give an update.  I had an ultrasound with dye to check my tubes and it was one of the worst and most painful things I have ever had to do.  They had to stop before they could tell me if both of my tubes were open.  I know that my right tube is open, so I can get pregnant!  They said that my left tube could also be open but they had to stop.  At least I know that one of my tubes is open and maybe I will get lucky in the next few months because you can have a greater chance of getting pregnant after the dye goes through your tubes!
  • So sorry for your loss.

    1. Since you posted this thread on 5/15, you haven't replied to a single thread on this board or any other TB board.
    2. Everyone on this board has commitments, but we make time to support one another when we can.
    3. I don't mean this to sound harsh, but if you post an intro and then don't come back for over a month, nobody is wondering how things are going because nobody knows who you are, as evidenced by the fact that people are responding thinking that this is your intro.

If you want to participate on this board, we would love to have you, but give support to get support.

  • I am leaving an update again I know I'm not on the board very often and I will probably be leaving because I don't seem to post enough to others but I figured I would give one more update. I lost my only good tube yesterday with an ectopic pregnancy and I only have IVF as an option now.
  • I did want to say thank you to everyone that gave me some support while on this board. I hope I was able to give some support to the boards I posted on, I know it wasn't a lot.
