Reel mowing and baby wearing.....

So I know someone asked a bit ago about using a reel mower and baby wearing. I have been doing that today because our yard needs to be cut super bad and dh isn't going to be home until Sat. And my MIL can't come over to watch Jo until the evenings so I just had to suck itup and get some done during the day today.

First I tried wearing Jo in the front. But because the grass and weeds grew super tall all of a sudden it is kind of tough to cut. And I need the leverage to push on the reel mower without accidentally pushing on Jo. So then I tried bringing the pack n play outside. That lasted for about 30 seconds. I can't put her on a blanket in the grass because she likes to eat all the grass, leaves, twigs, etc. 

So I ended up putting her in my Kelty carrier for a back carrier. It's working out ok and she is fascinated by it. Wish it was a tad warmer, so we are doing spurts of lawn work, and coming inside to play and eat. Currently she is napping on me. But it is working out ok except for the damn twigs.

Oh and a person walking by commented on how old school I am... So I guess that's cool.

It was me! That's great that the back carry worked for you!!

We haven't picked up a reel mower yet. And it looks like they don't work as well with zoysia. And it seems like we need zoysia for our shady back yard.. Where no other grass will grow. Dilemmas dilemmas...
