I made the call!

Two calls actually.  First, I made an appointment with a new ob/gyn since mine has been on an extended medical leave.  I was scheduled for a repeat pap but at the appointment, the doctor recommended scraping cells from the inside of my cervix as a better check to make sure the leep had gotten all of the cancer cells (the tissue taken off during the leep did not have clean margins so there is fear that some cancer cells were left behind.)  So, I was thrilled when that test came back showing only normal cells.

Getting a good pap test was my last step before calling our clinic to schedule a FET.  I spoke with them yesterday and they will be getting my file out of storage and will call me later this week to start scheduling pre-cycle testing.  I'm super nervous, excited and conflicted.  I would love to get pregnant again and would love another baby but, at the same time, I'll admit that having five children is seriously pushing the boundaries of what we can practically manage and afford.

    Very exciting vkb!  I'm so happy for you that the test came back normal, and the thought of another baby... wow!  GL with everything.

    DH diagnosed with Testicular Cancer 8/2010
    Low sperm count. Only option IVF with ICSI
    Starting First cycle Jan/Feb 2012- Canceled due to not responding to BCP and/or Lupron
    IVF 1.2- stims March 14, ER March 24, 16 R 10F 6 made it to blast
    ET March 29- transferred two blasts, 4A and 4BA, froze 4
    Positive HPT 9dp5dt Beta 1- 385 11dp5dt
    u/s April 25- one healthy heartbeat
    EDD 12/12/12>

    ET 4/22/12 = 2 transfered (day 3), remaining 3 weren't good enough to freeze
    Beta 5/3 = BFP, 87 Beta #2 5/7 560.9 Beta #3 5/9 1376.5 First u/s One Baby, 125bpm!
    Second u/s, 176bmp! Kicked over to the OB by the RE at 8w. Team Green!! 
    Baby girl J arrived two weeks early! Born into water, med-free. Hooray for Team Pink!

    TTC #2 - back to the RE, treatment started 12/2014.

    @MrsAmyDylan I have just one frosty so I'm really trying to approach the FET with the assumption that the embryo may not even survive the thaw and even if it does, odds are it will not result in a pregnancy.  Poor little frosty has been frozen for almost six years.

    That is a good attitude, but you never know ;)

    I hope it's all good.  Huge hugs, I know how nervous you probably are.  My first one post Leep was still atypical, but an ASCUS result, so not pre-cancerous.  My doc thought it was probably just from my cervix still healing.  My hpv tests have been negative thus far so I just need that to stay that way.

    Great news!! All I can say is you must have awesome kids to want to have more :) I think two I a tough transition. Bet your a great mommy!

    Married: 5/09 ~ TTC Since: 10/10 ~ PCOS ~ Progesterone from 10/10 - 2/11 ~ HSG on 3/18 - Clear ~ Started Metformin 1000mg & Clomid 50mg 2/11 ~ Metformin upped to 1500mg 4/6 ~ 6/7 Now going to SG and put on Clomid, Ovidrel, Gonal F, Prometrium, Estrace ~ IUI #1 7/2 = BFP!!!!!! March 6th our little man was born. 

    6/17/13 - Ovidrel, Follistim, Prometrium ~ IUI #1 7/2 = BFP! March 17th our St. Pattys day baby arrived

    10/29/17 - Started process for IVF, got pregnant & miscarried a 2nd time since summer. 2/22 started stims - Menopur, Gonal F, Cetrotide - retrieval 3/6 - , PIO, estrace 3xday - FET 4/18 = Beta 1: 616; Beta 2: 1342 = BFP

    Congrats on the great news from your recent PAP! I wish you the best of luck with your upcoming FET, whatever the result may be. I am nervous about giving our lone frosty a chance knowing it has the potential to be our fourth. You are my hero for giving your frosty a chance when it means that you may have a fifth! Good luck supermom! :-)

    I am a little nervous! I keep focusing on the 92% success rate my Dt told me when doing my LEEP - but seriously my Cervix never behaves like its supposed to with paps- so I am sadly not overly confident ;/

    Cheers for a clean Pap. Five children is beyond my comprehension. You must have the patience of a saint to parent so many children.

    Awww, you ladies are too kind.  My kids are great, and I think pretty easy, relatively speaking.  Honestly, I don't have the patience of a saint but I do have an awesome husband with whom to raise them and that has made all the difference.  I probably don't tell him enough what an awesome, involved dad he is.
