Siobhan Olivia wdyt?

I posted several weeks ago about Siobhan or Shea. We have decided on Siobhan Olivia. What do you think of it?

Also do you like the nn Shiv or Shivy better? Any other thoughts on a nn?

I think Siobhan is lovely, but would avoid shiv/shivvy. A shiv is a makeshift knife used in prison...

Didn't think about the weapon with Shiv - thanks. We will probably stick with Siobhan then.

The combo looks odd to me for some reason, but it's a fine combo. Yes, please stay away from Shiv. As the mom of a daughter with a Gaelic name, I agree just stick with her full name. A NN, if one is to happen, can just happen organically. DD's NN is Little or Monk (short for monkey, which was also DH's NN)

I also think it's kind of an odd pairing, but both are beautiful names. I think Ceridwen21's suggestion of Sibby as a nickname is cute.

Siobhan is a great name. I know quite a few, and while some are called Shiv at times I've never known any one to use it as an 'official' nickname, and you would never see it written down or being used exclusively as you might another nickname (for example Jim for James, or whatever).
