I haven't been feeling well. I seem to get some pretty intense pains every now and then, on Sunday there was a little bit of blood as well. I'm bringing it up to my OB today to see what they say...
Well based soley on what happened last month and some secondary fertility signs, I should be O'ing in the next couple days.
DH still keeps going back an forth between definitely wanting to try for another and not wanting another. So we are NTNP yet again this cycle. I'm starting to think he really wants another, but feels weird about trying for another at his age (43) so he's hoping I just get KU while NTNP and he can say it's an oops.
Anyway, I've noticed my pre-O and O symptoms are more noticeable after baby #2. Anybody else have that happen?
@AFwifelife I've had the same concerns. Bfing is going so well, if I get KU and that messes that up I would feel guilty. But it's not something that always happens, so who knows. @CLLDLL I didn't chart til after my second, but when I did I was like "how did I not notice this before?!" I'm not sure if it was new or I just didn't notice. I've got my fx that it happens again tho.
I didn't chart before D, but I did between D and G. At that time I just had little twinges I attributed to O pain. This time I'm having full out "my ute is going to fall out" crampiness for a day or two right around O time. I guess it could be because I'm still BF'ing G? IDK.
Still NTNP but I did have my first PP period at the beginning of the month so maybe I have a fighting chance now. I wish that I started charting to just know wtf is going on but DH and I agreed to just go with the flow until DS is around 1 before starting up again. The closer DS gets to 1, the better I feel about getting KU. I really wanted to reach my goal of BFing a year and was really nervous that it wouldn't become a reality if I got pregnant quick and dried up.
I'll crash this thread, even tho I don't belong here. I had the same worries, but just because you get PG, it's not a for sure you will dry upright away. I felt like if we made it to a year, I wouldn't feel so guilty, since he doesn't "need it" anymore. He's 14mo and still nursing a bit, but I'm not sure how much is really there. I know there's no way to tell what would happen, but it is possible you can keep BF. I just wanted to throw a not drying up right away story in there.
No changes here. I haven't noticed any cramping or trends so who knows when AF will show. L still nurses on demand and I pump twice a day, but I'm going to cut back on the pumping after he turns one on Friday.
I've also had concerns about drying up since L still nurses to sleep. But, I figure he has to learn to sleep while not nursing eventually. It could still be months before I have to worry about it, though.

My DS nursed to sleep until he was 18 months. That was the last feeding we dropped and he totally did it on his own. I think my supply just slowly dwindled until he was no longer interested. Three nights in a row, he latched for like two seconds, looked up at me like he was done, and went to bed easily. The fourth night I just didn't offer and he didn't care at all. The transition was seriously easy peasey for us.
After thinking I could be pregnant (late period). I'm a little relieved we don't have to deal with "do we get another crib or a toddler bed for ds1" or the possibility of not nursing as long as he might have wanted.
Don't get me wrong I still want another one but if its a little more space than maybe those transitions will be easier on ds1.
I feel weird posting here... Because mh and I haven't actually completely discussed details. That makes me feel crazy and irresponsible. But...I'm going to be 28 this year and I want more babies!!
We are still not charting or checking anything. But definitely NPing. I still have no ppp (postpartum period, for future reference ).
And @stoneycakes your description of your DS weaning himself made me tear up. Wth is wrong with me?! Lol. I love nursing to sleep. I'm so glad M still loves it too Edit typo
Just wanted to say it is possible to be pregnant and still nurse your older LO. When I got pregnant with C, DS was 14 months and still nursing 3x a day. I continued to nurse him until he was 18 months. By that time he was only nursing once in the morning. In fact, I can still remember our last nursing session. It was the morning after we moved into our new house and after that he didn't ask again and I didn't offer.
Also, reading this thread makes me a little sad that MH and I are done having babies.
I just want to say that I'm so glad there's a good handful of us that are waiting a few months before TTC. I felt so sad when I left the Pact Grads, but it feels great to know I'm in a pact with some more ladies! (My pregnancy when I miscarried I was in a pact with a co-worker and my SIL was 6 weeks ahead of me. Now it's not so lonely!).

I think AFwifelife is more concerned about it because her baby is still so young. It really is a totally different ballgame nursing a toddler, rather than a baby who is still very dependent on those calories. At least, that's why I was worried, and why I was always on the lookout for supply drops and if DS was satisfied. I feel like once he hit a year, I could not worry so much about it. And really, he's so busy with everything, and eats plenty, that he really on wants to nurse when he's tired now.
Still playing the waiting game On the plus side we are using up the condoms that dh had when we started dating, I think we have 15 days until they expire! Lol! Oh, that and I am actually wanting sex now. That has got to be a good thing... Right?!?

Oh, I wasn't trying to dismiss her concerns. I was just trying to give another example that you don't always dry up when you get pregnant. I guess I failed. I'm very sorry. I'll just go back to lurker status now.

I am definitely in the same boat, if I were to get pregnant and dry up right now I would feel so guilty. I want to add a pumping session during the day so that I can build up a freezer stash just in case.
As for TTC, still NTNP and still no AF here. I've had a few cramps here and there and I thought 'maybe?!' But then it just ended up being gas so never mind. But we did have sex yesterday, so that's good! (For the first time in two weeks.)

I didn't mean to send you back to lurking. It just seemed like whenever I saw a PG and BF post on the BF board, and t was a younger baby, it didn't always seem like there was a lot of response. Other than women saying their LO was older. Good job nursing your toddler while PG! I just wanted to give a BF a less than 1yo baby while PG story.

Don't worry about it! My supply did pretty well for my first PPAF so I'm hoping I won't have issues right off the bat if I do get a BFP. If I did dry up pretty quick though, I would have to switch to formula. I don't have a BM stash and I REALLY want to at least make it a year. If everything works out though, I would be interested in tandem nursing.
I'm glad to hear your supply did well! I hope everything works well for you.
My DS was 7 months old when I got pregnant with our angel baby. Prior to that, I had read the book the Womanly Art of Breastfeeding. Excellent book and they have great info on tandem nursing if you end up needing it. Anyway, I was still able to nurse DS on demand while pregnant with our angel baby and was actually looking forward to tandem nursing the two of them. It just wasn't meant to be though. And I'll stop now.
Re: ~~~Preggie Pact~~~ Early Edition
i hope everyone is doing well today...I'll bow out now
nothing to see here...*ducks and runs*
