Someone tell me I'm not crazy

In two weeks I am driving ten hours each way to visit family with my boys. They'll be a little shy of 9 months. My parents will drive down "with" me (in a separate car) and then I'll drive home alone.
So far I've figured out the basics of what I need, but as I get closer and closer to the trip I become more and more convinced that I'm crazy for agreeing to go

  • Crazy? No. Brave, um hell yes! You can do this. One of your parents may need to get in with you from time to time, but it is manageable. I Hope it goes well. We have had several long trips and it has been hit and miss. The hits are great, the misses horrible, but we always come out of it just fine.

We drive 6 hours to visit family in Michigan a couple times a year. The method that works best for us is driving at night while they sleep. But that would only work if you can find a way to make sure you can sleep during the day beforehand and have someone to watch the kids so you can sleep when you get there and/ or you have someone to trade off driving with.

It might go a lot better than you think! I've traveled 7 hours with the girls a few times. Take your time, stop plenty, fluff them up, roll 'em around every so often and you'll be there before you know it.

I work 3rd and we leave memorial day, So I think I'll be able to sleep during the day. :) I'm glad so many positive stories came out of this :)

This is the longest trip we tend to make, normally visiting family is 4-5 hour drive to my inlaws. I've only gone to missouri a few times in my life
