I'm not worried, but should I be?

Since starting D vitamins dd has had terrible gas pains, was crying a lot and hadn't popped. We stopped them to see if that helped and this morning she finally pooped and seems much happier. Hooray!

The trouble is her poop was a little bit green. It's the only time it's ever been that color, and I've read that it can be a result of intolerance to supplements or medications. I'm inclined to wait and see if her next dirty diaper is normal again. Should I be more concerned? Would you also wait to call, or call right away

  • I wouldn't be concerned, either. It also is a sign of too more fore milk and not enough hind milk if you're breast feeding . My kiddos both get greenish diapers sometimes and it clears up in a couple diaper changes.

I stopped giving them vit d (it made one of them violently throw up once) and now I take it in pill form with my prenatal vitamin.

That's what I was thinking. I plan to get a D pill for myself.

I pump, and I always pump till I stop getting milk, and she's never had green poo before, so I'm hopin it's not too much fore milk. Time will tell!

DD1 pooped green for weeks, but it wasn't frothy and she was happy. Pedi said it just reflects where in the intestines more nutrients were absorbed and was perfectly fine.

Logan has at least one green diaper at day. I'm not too worried about it. Usually its because I've had some dairy and he has a very mild sensitivity to it. But with one green poo and not other symptoms, I wouldn't think twice about it.

  • Did you eat a lot of green veggies yesterday? Our ped told us green poops can reflect the food you ate...

We get a green poop everyday/every other day... Nothing we're concerned about.

We get green poops every now and then, no issues. She also has no problem with her vitamin d drop, though.
