Buttons Diapers - a review.

I posted a while back that I'd won some Button's diapers, and it seemed the consensus was that nobody knew what in the world Button's diapers were.  So I figured I'd post a little review for you all!

They're a pretty typical AI2 system.  Their snap-in inserts are 4 layers of microfiber topped with fleece.  I got their large size inserts, which start at ~20lbs.  LO is about 24lbs and 11 months old - in about the 50% percentile for all his measurements.  

I didn't have any AI2s in my stash previously, so it was new to me - and they're alright.  DH prefers them to the prefolds at this point due to the rabid-mongoose-like state that LO enters at diaper changes these days, so that's a point in their favor I suppose.  The covers seem very sturdy - they're nice and thick, and they have double-gussetted legs, which makes the fit around LO's thighs very nice.  My only complaint so far is that they seem to run a bit small.  With the provided inserts, they fit really well, but I really can't imagine them fitting up to the stated 35lbs.  

I've used them as covers for O/N over my S'bish medium bamboo flats+hemp doubler, and it's definitely a tight fit.  If I don't get them on just right there is some serious plumbers crack going on.  I don't think they'd work with a larger O/N combination.  They also fit weirdly low in the front - but that might just be my LO?  Dunno.  See the pictures below.

So, general verdict: really great for smaller/younger babies, feel very robust, and seem like a very solid AI2 option.

And they do have a cute little button on the bum!

They're pretty economical ($11/cover), but they don't come in any patterns, just solid colors.

It's OS - here's note quite a side-by-side but a one-on-top-of-the-other comparison with my blueberry OS (the green one on top is the buttons cover):

I've read a lot of reviews that say they're super similar but cheaper.  So, yeah - spot on!
