Orion vs Gideon

Hello ladies, I'm not super active on the bump anymore but I'm looking for a little baby name help.

My husband and I are having another little boy and have finally narrowed the names down to our top two, Gideon and Orion. My husband loves the name Gideon but as much as I try to like it, it just sounds unusual to me (which I know is weird considering our other choices, lol). I like Orion but my husband - while he likes the name - thinks it may be too similar to our older son's name. We both really wanted to give our son an awesome biblical name too, which would be Gideon. The middle name will most likely be Daniel and our oldest son is named Uriah Gabriel (I know it isn't really liked here but that name means a lot to my husband and I).

Anyway, keeping in mind the possible middle name and older brother's name, just wondering what you all think sounds best. Thanks!

I really like the name Uriah! It would be on my list if not for being vetoed by DH.
Gideon is actually on my list, so it gets my vote. I also think it goes better with Uriah than Orion. I do think Orion is nice, but it has so many letters and the R sound in common with Uriah, they do feel a bit to close.

I'm loving Gideon! Way more than Orion. Even if I liked Orion, it's far too close to Uriah.

I have to agree with the majority here too and say Gideon. Orion does sound a little too similar to Uriah to me. I think either sound good with Daniel though!

I actually like Gideon, we just had friends use it as a mn for Levi! Uriah is great by the way!!

Definitely Gideon. I like it better in general, plus, Orion and Uriah are way too close.

I love Gideon. Orion is NMS and I think it's too close to Uriah. I like the flow of Gideon Daniel.

I like Gideon Daniel. I think Orion sounds like you're trying too hard, and it's too close to Uriah IMO

I'm not a huge fan of either option (I really like Uriah though!) but my vote goes to Gideon because Uriah and Orion is a major mouthful.

I like Orion a lot but it is too similar to Uriah for me.  Gideon is lovely and makes me want to sing Rocky Raccoon.

I adore both names so much. I'd pick Orion, but I think it's too similar to Uriah.

Obligatory HP references: Orion is Sirius Black's middle name and his grandfather's name. Gideon is Molly Weasley's brother and Fred's middle name. Fabian and Gideon Prewett died in the first war.

I prefer Gideon of the two. I think Uriah and Gideon complement each other nicely.
