When to pump?

I'm wanting to introduce a bottle in one week for occasional night feedings by my husband and for grandma if my husband and I go out. Should I start pumping this week to get a few bottles saved up? When is the best time to pump during the day, right after a feeding or between feedings?

Re: When to pump?

  • I would recommend pumping every day after one of the morning feedings. Your body has to become accustomed to making more milk at a certain time. Then if baby has a bottle, you have to pump at that time too.
