So.. what did DH do for Mother's Day?

I remember the post about what our expectations were for Mother's Day. Just wondering how your hubby did.

I had the breakfast in bed like I suspected. But what I wasn't expecting was that DH bought me a Kobo Arc!! Super excited about that. He also had Hannah "sign" my card, super cute!! So far it's been a great morning. I do have to leave for work in a bit, and then it's all day with the in-laws. But this was a great morning :)

    Happy mother's day robeano!

    We don't usually do gifts but DH surprised me with flowers and a gift certificate to get my nails done, so nice!

    We are heading to lunch in a bit, excited for a beautiful day with my little family. :)
    dx: MFI 0% morph & low count. Occasional Anovulatory cycles.

    Happy Mother's Day! 
    DH had two cards - one that he drew Alexa's handprints in - and then a journal. He will (or Alexa when she's older) write a page or two every year on Mother's Day. I found the idea for Father's Day and he saw it on my page and surprised me. This year was a poem (he found online and modified) and a pic collage. We also ran a 4 mile race as a family (and were the first stroller to finish!) and now headed to lunch. The downside is Alexa was up at 4:30 this morning and hasn't napped - he's out driving with her now. I suspect the rest of the day will be super low key. :)

    I got to sleep in until 6:45, which was soooooo nice. DH had the boys color on a card for me and they got me a picture mug. I'll admit, I used to think those were super cheesy, but the pics DH used are so perfect for their personalities! I sobbed when they brought me the little gift bag and showed me the mug. DH also got me a gift card, so I'm excited for some shopping. We just went out for lunch and ate Mexican food outside. Perfect day!

    DH brought me breakfast at home from my favorite place with a beautiful card from him and DS. I've been able to play with my little guy all morning. I couldn't ask for anything more :)

    Me 38 MH 41 - TTC since June 2010 - dx with Severe MFI. Straight to IVF with ICSI. IVF #1 - ER 06/13/12 - 9 Eggs Retrieved - 4 ICSI'd - only 2 fert. 06/15/12 - 2DT - 3 cell & 6 cell with fragmentation. Beta 06/29/12 - IVF #1 = BFN. 07/20/12 - WTF Appt -Told by our RE to quit IVF. Second Opinion from RE is good. IVF#2 - November 2012. Estradiol Pills Started 11/6. Stims start 11/16. ER 11/26 - 7 eggs retrieved - all mature. 4 fertilized with ICSI. ET 11/29 Transferred 3 embryos. Beta is 12/10. 1st Beta 81 2nd Beta 160 and 3rd beta 360!!! First U/S 12/21/12 - We saw one beautiful gest. sac. 2nd U/S is 01/04/2013 - H/B 183 02/05/13 - NT Scan - everything looks good and IT'S A BOY!  Aiden was born 08/20/2013.

    IVF #2 is in progress.  ER was 05/12/14 - 11 eggs retrieved, 8 fertilized with ICSI.  ET was 05/15/14 - we transferred 3 embryos as we did on the cycle my son was conceived.  We were able to freeze 3 embryos. Beta is scheduled for 05/26/14.  1st beta - 111.  2nd beta - 159 didn't double :( 3rd beta Friday 5/30) - not a lot of hope left. Beta # 3 is 247 - probably ectopic.  Beta # 4 is 813 - possibly vanishing multiple sydrome?  06/05/14 - 5w4days - first U/S - we see a gestational sac and yolk - still have hope!  06/17/14 - 7w1day - U/S and saw and heard the heartbeat - Finally!  06/27/14 - 8w4days - Baby and heartbeat look and sound great :)  EDD 02/01/14 and It's a boy!

    DH is away but he had hallmark send me a photo card. LO has puked several times and popped on the floor, happy Mother's Day to me!

    DH got me a card from him and a card from S which was really sweet. He got me the bracelets I put in the last post, and then we went out of town to our favorite restaurant for brunch, and did a little shopping afterward. We're on our way back home now.
    MF (low motility) - Began stims for IVF#1 7/21/12
    ER 8/2/12 - 14 eggs retrieved, 12 mature and ICSI'd, 6 fertilized. ET 8/7 - 2 embies. Beta#1 8/17: 143! Beta#2 8/20: 590! Beta#3 8/22: 1,162! 1st US 9/4: one beautiful little bean with the best sounding HB I've ever heard!

    A very thoughtful two page card and we took family photos in the yard with no complaints from DH.
    DH and I are Americans living an adventure in Kenya since 2011
    DX: PCOS (annovulatory)
    Feb 2012: IUI #1 w/ only 1M sperm and a single follie = BFP! 
    Nov 2012: Little buddy born in Kenya
    Nov 2013: Trying for a second, still w PCOS
    Dec 2013: IUI cycle canceled for non-response

    I got a card from each of them and we all went out to lunch and to the mall where I bought myself a new pair of TOMS and a shirt from banana republic. Tonight we are going to my MILs house for dinner. He also sent me off to the nail salon yesterday for a mani/pedi. I'm a lucky gal!

    I got to sleep in and we all went to the park like I wanted. DH got me flowers and told me to go shopping for myself sometime today or this week.

    H threw up at lunch so we came home and are letting him nap. DH over fed him and feels so bad about it.

    DH let me sleep in until 8! Then he came to church with my family (he only comes holidays). MIL is in town, and she and DH cooked brunch for my family (she started cooking since she didn't come to church). DH had a card for me from him and one from J. He also had two framed pics one of J from Easter and one of her and I. MIL had done a handprint thirst and mug. Plus a pretty bracelet of photos of J :).

    Second u/s, 176bmp! Kicked over to the OB by the RE at 8w. Team Green!! 
    Baby girl J arrived two weeks early! Born into water, med-free. Hooray for Team Pink!

    I've had a great day so far! DH and DS planted flowers in my front planters. My parents were visiting this weekend (the guys had a golf tournament yesterday) and DH took us all to brunch outside on the water - it was fabulous. He also got me a card and a few Pandora beads. He even bought my mom a bead I didn't know about, so sweet. Then I got to nap when DS did. I'm a happy mama.

    Had a great day! DH got me a card a mix of beautiful pink roses and two little turtle charms for my pandora bracelet. In my card DH wrote love your "ohana". We love anything Hawaiian, the turtles represent DS and baby on the way. Soooo cute!

    We had a fantastic day! LO woke up at 545- but I coaxed her to go back to sleep until 715. DH woke up with her and I slep until 10:30!!!!! That's when they brought me breakfast ;) DH got me a card and Molly got me a gift card for a pedi and a new hydrangea bush for the front yard! Then we took a field trip to a new winery, tasted and sat outside for a glass of wine ( nicest day all spring around here)....and then we came home and I got the chicken par, takeout I've been craving (that was my one request today).....great day today and really a great weekend all around :)

    I sent DH a text a week ago stating exactly what bouquet of flowers I wanted from a local flower shop here in town.

    I got tulips from FTD floral instead. Since I knew he wasn't getting me a gift, I got myself a spa day yesterday and a new electric toothbrush.


    After 4 years, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs our surprise miracle is here!
