Cloth Diapers while visiting family?

Alright, I'm clogging up the board, I know but I have questions!

I am planning a trip to my grandparents house for a week. I will be flying alone with LO and wondering if I should try to pack up my diapers for the trip? Last time we went out of town for 2 days, we used disposables and ended up with blow outs in every outfit and a nasty rash!

I just don't know if I want to try to pack everything in my bag, worry about a wet bag in the airport and then have to wash in my grandparents washer. (They're iffy about the cloth thing)

Any suggestions and past experiences?

We used cloth when we visited my in laws but they were very supportive. We may have used disposables for the actual airport and flight part but now I can't remember.

We did sposies on or last trip but I'm really tempted to do flats when we travel now. They are super quick to wash and dry and it's no big deal if you have to use regular detergent a couple times on fst's. We got a bit of a rash and lots of blowouts a well last time. I had to wash his clothes and mine.so I might as well have been washing diapers.

If you have covers you can always use them over a disposable to help prevent messes. You could even hand wash the covers in the bathroom sink if you didn't want to wash them in your grandparents' washer.

I bring cloth with me if its just a short trip and wash when i get home.

I would prob bring them with me on longer trips as long as i had a washer available.

I'm using primarily flats/covers now anyway. I may as well just use those instead of having to worry about a blow out in the airport which would inevitably happen. Washing flats > washing a whole outfit!
