I haven't watch a movie in a long time but anything can make me cry now a days. Commercials, deep moments in sitcoms, reading greeting cards at the store...I must be getting soft in my old age!

    2.  The movie Stepmom makes me bawl hysterically Every.Single.Time I watch it.

I cried watching Secretariat earlier it wasn't pretty. I can't believe I cried because a horse won a race.

The Help is one of those movies that makes me ugly cry every time. An older one that gets to me is Terms of Endearment. I also can't watch Stepmother because it came out when my mom was alive and was dying of cancer. She told me she made the mistake of going to the show and seeing it alone. It reminds me of her.

Seriously can anyone watch Marley and Me and not have snot running down your face?
    Fucking bump!!!!

Hi, I'm new here and just posted my intro. The movies that always make me cry are: Up (even before I started TTC the intro made me a sobbing mess), You've Got Mail (the golden retriever coupled with "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" that gets me teary every time), and Anne of Green Gables.

@Pintobean39‌ - same thing happened to me with Stepmother. However I was the one you saw it when my mom was sick. Ugh...
All movies make me cry especially ones with animals and people dying from a disease. Terms of Endearment for sure. Ugly cries are the worst.

@BeckyP005‌ OMG I'd forgotten about when Dr Green died, every time I hear that version of Somewhere over the Rainbow I can't help but think of that episode. I'd actually love to watch all the episodes of ER all over again.

Speaking of TV shows what about Grey's Anatomy when George died? Izzy had cancer at the same time and if I remember correctly at first we didn't know who was going to die. My best friends husband was dying of cancer at the time and she and I kinda watched it together so I may have cried more because of the situation but I remember crying for hours after that episode.
    Fucking bump!!!!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who cried at Up, ER and not just Dr. Green's episode, and I basically quit watching Grey's anatomy after they killed off George and Deny.  I cried during Titanic from the time the old couple lies down in the bed together until 30 minutes after the movie was over.

I refuse to watch movies based on Nicholas Sparks books.  They all make me cry.  A Walk to Remember was the worst.  I am such a puppy dog and rainbow happy endings kind of girl.

My favorite happy movies to watch are Clueless, The Replacements, and the BBC mini series of Pride and Prejudice with Colin Firth.

Put me in the "cry at anything" camp!  Actually, sad movies don't always effect me that way (with notable exceptions like Steel Magnolias), but happy endings always do.  Off the top of my head, I remember crying inappropriately at the end of All Dogs Go to Heaven, that movie where Chandler from Friends gets Salma Hayak pregnant, and too many Lifetime movies to count.  But I'm weird.

JimBobCooter, thank you for spelling bawling right -that (ie. "balling") is one of my biggest TB/FB grammar irritations :)

I'm still not a huge movie cryer, but Steel Magnolias was the most memorable because it was my first movie cry and all I could think was "oh, geez, here it goes... I'm becoming my mother."

My favorite movie is How to Lose A Guy in 10 Days…..I don't know why…I just love it.

The only time I cry watching movies is when an animal is hurt or killed.  Not people….I'm ok with that. Animals get me every time. Im a strange one I know.

I think its because i can legitimately reason with myself that its a movie and the actors are playing roles and they are people I recognize and are fine……the animals not so much.

    Im weird.
