Well I started back to work on Monday and I have to say I am exhausted. The bigger kids have had sports 3 nights this week and I feel like I don't have any down time which is why I haven't been bumping in what seems like forever. I am sure I am not the only one who feels this way I just don't remember it being so difficult with the other 2. Guess this is a bit of a pity party vent post but hopefully as the next couple of weeks pass I will feel less run down as I get into the swing of things.
On a better note we have a conditional sale on our home. Fingers crossed it goes through.

Like you, having (just 1 in my case) older child(ren) adds a whole other level of complication. I've learned to do as much as possible the night before, like unpacking backpacks/workbags, setting up lunches/bottles for the kids, lunches for DH and myself and sticking to really simple dinners- cheeseburgers, breakfast for dinner, tacos, spaghetti, stir fry. I have to be honest, DH cooks dinner almost every night, especially while I've been nursing/pumping, it just doesn't leave extra time for me to do a whole lot of dinner prep, but I help clean up as often as possible. We divide and conqueror everything. Again because of the nursing, DH has taken DD to a lot of her after school activities (like school events) and that really helps.
Life will be chaotic for a little bit, but you'll eventually settle into a new routine. Hang in there!!
