Quick Yeast Q

I think DS2 has a yeast infection. DS1 is also in CDs, but no sign of the infection. Do I need to treat ALL the CD's since they have been washed together, or should I be OK just treating DS2s? The only time they would have mixed would be in the wash, so not sure if the yeast would really have passed from one dipe to another? WWYD?

Re: Quick Yeast Q

  • Definitely treat them all.  Yeast is a promiscuous little thing.

  • Yeah, that's what I was afraid of. I was just hoping someone would convince me it's not possible for the yeast to have contaminated the other dipes.
  • I think it's unlikely but still definitely worth treating them all.

  • 2nd question: is a disposable liner (I have some Bumkins ones) enough to protect from the Nystatin or will it seep through and I should use sposies? It's been like a year since we've had yeast here and I can't remember what we did last time.
  • I let nystatin cream dry well and use a flat or prefold without a liner. With the ointment I used disposables.
