So I'm now 30 weeks + and my appts are now every 2 weeks and I have been handed off to the Doctor instead of my lovely Np I have seen since 8 weeks.Anyways so yesterday started way too early Addy had a eye appt @ 8 am. and I had a check up at 11am so we go to her appt which under the circumstance she did great for her age however she does need glasses .So we then head to my appt now keep in mind we have being going since 6 am and she is 19 months old and my appt was 11 at 11:35 they finally bring us back to a room and at 12:20 the doctor finally comes in now I understand things happen fine whatever but was it asking too much for someone to pop there head in to say she is running behind .I had a 19 month that was way past nap time and had her eyes dilated and I was annoyed because she was fussy, I hadn't gained weight in two weeks and when the doctor finally came in she listen to the heartbeat,measured me and was about to walk out and I was like um hello I just failed my 3 hr glucose test two days before is there anything I should know??? she had no clue now I get in a busy practice its hard to keep up but would it have killed her to glance at the file before coming in?Needless to say I'm seeing her again at 32 weeks and things aren't better I'm requesting the NP again.She just didn't seem concerned about my unborn child and didn't seem like she had time for me just annoyed .Sorry thanks for letting me vent.

This makes me IRATE!  Is the NP a MW?  Does the clinic have any MWs that you could see?  Is there a reason that you HAVE to see this OB?

I honestly think sometimes the practitioners forget what it's like to be a patient waiting endlessly in a room.  But there's NO excuse for her to have not looked at your chart, and NO excuse for her to be so flippant about your care.

Thanks she did It just sucks being rushed then she kind of insulted me because she was like ok so did you have gd with her pointing to Addy? and I was like no we adopted her and she was like oh I know lots of couples that were able to get pregnant after they adopted.I really wanted to be a B and be like we didn't adopt her because we couldn't have kids we adopted her because we wanted to give a child a loving home why just assume that?It was just a bad morning and my hormones are all over the place.

No she is just a NP and no the don't have any midwifes.They were being nice and not making me see every doctor they have 6 and letting me stay with just one but after yesterday idk I really didn't care for her maybe she had a off day hopefully 32 week appt will be better.If 32 week doesn't go better I will try the other female doc I had seen once at 20 weeks for pain and if she isn't there then I will simply request the NP again. I don't know why I had to switch at 30 weeks to began with the NP would check heart rate and measure why I couldn't just stay with her until 36 weeks when they started doing cervix checks

Belovedvirgo0209 only I don't have a child currently. I had my last RE appt this week and they put me in my room at 1pm and said to undress from the waist down...same as usual...except the doctor didn't come in till 1:40...I was so livid at that point. Really???? I couldn't have sat in the waiting room with my clothes ON for those 40 minutes?? UGH..The nerve of some people!! The only reason why I didn't bitch to the dr. or anyone else was because it was my last appointment with her. 

Hopefully it was just a fluke and your next appointment will go quickly and smoothly!
