Awesome. Cigna is no longer contracting directly with physical and occupational therapists. They are using a third party called "American Specialty Health" and they dropped the rate to our OT BY 80%. Of course, this is unacceptable to them so my beloved OT is going out of network in August. NO ONE is going to accept such a huge cut. That would make everyone out-of-network, and they just cannot do that. Of course, they can do whatever they want until people get ticked off enough and work hard enough to appeal in some way. I've heard of people getting out-of-network providers re-instated as in-network if there are no in-network providers close enough... which is what is going to happen if they cut rates to 20% across the board! I don't know how to do that... but I guess once they get their directory updated, it's time to start digging. See what's left. Now I'm afraid they will do something similar to ABA.
