Baby Names

help me come up with family name!

I'd like our girl name to incorporate a name from DH's family but I'm having a hard time coming up with something we like ...

MIL - Belinda Lou

FIL - Jon Eric

Grandparents: Patricia and Wayne

Maiden name: Reece

DH and all siblings were named J names ... something else we could consider to "Carry on" the tradition.

Thanks for your help!! Like something kind of unique vs. traditional (Patricia, Jon etc...)

Re: help me come up with family name!

  • Those are all nice names on their own.  Could you not use one as a MN and be done with it? You don't want to smoosh names or be like "we're calling her Penelope after grandma Patricia" are you?

  • Naming her a J name after her Daddy is lovely, espeically if you happen to love a J name.

I agree you have nice names to work with.

What typles of names do you like?

  • We thought about Jessa

Hubby likes Reece as a middle name. I like Reece as a first name. Trying to find a middle ground there. Could use it as a middle name but I think it sounds kind of masculine to me.

I like Lou as a middle name but he's not fond. I'm trying to get some fresh ideas to throw out at him b/c I feel like I've tried everything lol. I know we have a lot of time but he is extremely picky!!

For the boy we have Gage Alexander - Alexander is Jace's middle name (my husband)

Jessa Reece sounds fine to me.

Not sure I follow your logic about not liking Reece as a middle because it's too masculine, but preferring it as a first name for a girl.
  • Yeah I don't really follow it either. lol I don't know maybe it just needs to grow on me. it sounds fine with a girly first name. For a little bit we liked Harper Reece but I felt like it was TOO gender neutral with 2 gender neutral names. Hopefully that makes some sort of sense. Jessa Reece does have a nice ring to it ...

  • Jessa Reece does have a bit too much of the "ssss" sounds gonig on.  Girl J suggetsions to go with Reece in the middle spot (to keep the J name going):
