So the train of conversation in the CIO post got me to wondering. I feed my baby as much as he wants whenever he wants. I make more than enough milk when I pump during the day but he usually only eats 8-9 ounces during the day when I'm gone and feeds at least 3 times before bed after I get home. He nurses so much that he spits some back up. He never spits up with a bottle because he just doesn't drink as much. So I know he is taking in more than enough when he BF's. However, he is smaller for his age. 18th percentile for weight, 45 for height, and 70ish for head. He has some massive poo's. Basically all that is leading up to this question. His poo is usually massive and most of the time has yellow covered white chunks almost like cottage cheese curds. Is this the fatty part of the milk just not breaking down and passing on through? Is this what most EBF poo looks like?
Re: Question about poop. Spinoff of the CIO post.

Totally normal, and don't worry about where baby is on the growth curve. As long as he follows *his* growth curve & isn't falling in percentages you're fine.
G rolled from back to tummy for the first time around 4 months, but didn't do it regularly until closer to 6-7 months. D didn't roll at all until he'd learned to crawl at around 8 months.
DD3 spit up a lot more when she was ebfing. She was around 16% for weight and 95% for height for a long time. Around 8 months she started climbing percentiles and at 1 year was 66% for weight and 95% for height. I wouldn't worry about percentiles at this point if his growth is steady.

Our pedi had rolling back to tummy as a 6 month milestone. DS has rolled back to tummy a total of 2 times in 9.5 months. Once the day before 6 months then once last week. He has rolled tummy to back since 2 days old. No interest in crawling though. Dr isn't worried yet. I think they look at overall muscle tone and if they are doing other things before they worry.
