  • In my house... nope. Cade will eat an entire Costco muffin hamburger style. A PB&J is pretty normal lunch foods for Cade, usually he'll eat that a bag of bunnies, apples, and a yogurt too.

  • I wouldn't worry. I think DS did the same thing when he was about that age. I remember being shocked at how much he would eat every so often b/c normally he would kind of pick at stuff. Even now he still usually only eats about half a sandwich along with a handful of grapes or whatever. (He'd actually probably eat a whole bag of grapes if I let him.)

  • At a year old this would be a normal day of eating for DD:

Breakfast - 1/2 cup yogurt, a scrambled egg, a piece of toast and a whole orange or other piece of fruit

    Snack - cheerios

Lunch - a whole PB&J plus some mixed veggies

Snack - another piece of fruit

Dinner - a reasonable helping of whatever we were eating

I asked her pedi about it at her 1 year visit because I couldn't believe how much she would eat. The Dr said it was normal and as long as I wasn't feeding her junk to not worry about it. DD is 2 now and still eats very well.

  • Yeah, Cade is a bottomless pit. Like, just now he had a peanutbutter sammich, crackers, chex, fruit snacks, and then he went and banged on the cabinet door until we got him a graham cracker. I think he may have a hollow leg. He ate pretty well before 1 year though, now it's just insane. I fear for what it'll be like in a few years.

  • At his age, yes, Lincoln would eat that much, and a fruit and be begging for food an hour later.  He's my bottomless pit.

Aww, he's got some good taste! E was eating insane, unbelievable amounts of food at that age too. It has slowed down now. I wouldn't worry.
