I had a natural birth with a midwife at a birth center. I certainly did not forget the pain as soon as I held him, though :) (i.e. Ricky Lake on 20/20)

    yeah...I was just thinking about when I had a 3rd degree tear...I was so glad I had an epidural and didnt have to feel them sewing me up inside and out!!

    ouch! I had a minor 2nd degree with no stitches, and I thought that was painful!

    Yeah, I could see how you *might* forget the pain if you didn't tear. I went natural but I had a third degree tear which acted as a reminder for months afterward!
