handwashing question

What detergent or soap (not homemade) works best for handwashing? I was using Tide when I had mf inserts to wash, but I really don't like Tide for washing cotton.....and now that it's gone I need something else for diapers. Soap nuts were working well enough in the machine but I'm not so sure they work as well for me when handwashing. What about bar soap for scrubbing spots/using scrub board?

I did use zote, it works good. Bar soap it's best for hand wash.

I've been wondering this too! Could you maybe use soap nuts to scrub? I know they lather a little...?

I tried this first but they a bit ackward to work with, even in the bag.
