Clomid and O pains?

I'm waiting to O in my first cycle of clomid. I keep having tiny bits of cramping on my "off side"
Can anyone tell me if their O pains typically match up with the side you are ovulating from? I know an ultrasound will tell me this info, but I am impatient!

I actually had pain on my opposite side -- I was sure it was my left side, but the follicle ended up being on the right!

And @Rumbera28‌ that makes me feel a bit better! More often than not, I feel o pains on my right side (which is the "broken" one) so it's nice to know it doesn't necessarily mean that's the side ovulation is on!

I wonder if that's a common occurrence? Or if most people can tell which side O is happening on by their o pains..

I think I can usually tell because the few cycles that only had a mature follicle one side it hurt more. My left ovary is my dominate and is so much more painful than my right. I've always notice even before the medication I always had one side hurt or the other. Actually my left would hurt almost 2 cycles and my right 1 cycle.

@Pintobean39‌ Yes! That's me to a "T" It feels about 2 to 1 on my off side! Were you able to confirm with u/s that you were only o'ing from the side you thought? Or was it from both, but maybe more follies on the side that hurt?

The two months that I did monitoring by ultra sound and only had 1 mature follicle I was dead on as to which side it was coming from.  My other 2 months I had multiple mature on each side and they both hurt but I could always tell when they started to get a certain size because I started to feel them.  I always told the US tech what was going on before she even looked and I was always right.

Thanks for sharing your experience @Pintobean39‌. I have been thinking that I must O primarily on my right. That's why I was open to finally trying clomid so we can hopefully get O on both sides (or at least the one that's not broken!) Here's to hoping!

I definitely had cramping with both clomid and femera right around O time.

I have always been able O, medicated and not. But on meds, I could feel the pressure building up for a few days before O. Every time I went in for my US, I told my doc which side or both that my follies were on and sure enough, it was confirmed by US. A few times, all of my follies were on the same side which made O super painful although for some reason it is way more painful when it's my right ovary. My RE said that it's normal for one side to be more sensitive than the other.

That's a really good question! I can't wait to start meds and monitoring so I can get some insight into whether my O pains have any connection with which ovary is O-ing. I'm thinking the answer is Yes for me, since I usually get pains on the right and from the ultrasound (which I still haven't talked to the RE about) it looks like my left may be polycystic. A very interesting question indeed...
