Oooh, up early!  Well, I'm still here, still on BCP, still intending to donate in June.  I am thinking this may be the last donation for me.  BCP are a headache, literally, but really I just am not sure I can do it for the right reasons anymore.  You ladies inspired me so much, but more and more I find myself thinking about logistics, money, and my own plans for the future, rather than about the meaningful difference I can make.  I feel a little guilty admitting this.  We will see...I anticipate it all rushing back to me once I'm really in the thick of things and actually doing retrieval, especially if it is successful.  I'm probably just blah because of other stressful things happening in life...we thought we could afford a house, but then things jumped up 20k in a couple months and we're probably out, and DH's 4-year-old little brother is facing some profoundly disturbing discrimination/racism from the mother of an ex-preschool-classmate.

Well, this is all about me.  I'm sorry for the self-centeredness.  Congrats to Allie on her BFP and to BECKY on being PUPO!  Hugs to anyone who needs them.

@ArgyleBride - don't feel guilty! There are seasons to most things in life, and it may be that this season is near its end. That is completely OK. I so appreciate all you have added to this board! Hopefully, the housing situation becomes a reality for you very soon!

AFM: Told my family this week and need to tell my students and colleagues this week. I don't really want to, but scheduling issues for Spring of 2015 have kind of forced my hand. I am pretty nervous about it bc I faced some discrimination after my first loss. 

Additionally, I am cycling in May. We are doing a freeze-all cycle. My AMH levels aren't good and we are lucky enough to have insurance coverage for one more cycle and now seems the best time. So, I am going for my baseline u/s this morning and start stimming on Wednesday if all looks good.

AFM transfer is in 2 days, eek! We are flying out tomorrow morning and will fly home Thursday afternoon. They thawed our 6 day 2 embies and are growing them to blast. Hopefully we will get at least two to transfer so that we can keep our 3 frozen blasts on ice. I don't think I am going to get any updates on how they are doing until I go in for my transfer, so I am just keeping my FX that they are all growing nicely!

QOTW: Hmm... BLTs with fresh tomatoes from my mom's garden or anything grilled. We also do alot of zuchinni and squash in the summer since my mom also grows them in the garden.

Hi ladies. Good luck to all of those ladies cycling and in the 2ww and big, huge hugs to anyone who needs one.

Nothing big going on here, just taking it day by day, week my week. My GD is probably 95% under control with oral meds. My MFM had to up my dose by 50% last week and now most of my numbers are in a safe place. That is a great feeling! In other news, I have been staying busy building my photography portfolio. But yesterday I accidentally dropped one of my favorite lenses on the cement during a shoot and it shattered everywhere! I was so mad at myself! So this week I'm going to be lens shopping which is kind of fun, but very expensive. I should probably look into insurance. Ugh....

QOTW: Smoked turkey legs...like the kind they have at the fair. And I love creative fruit/herb combos like honeydew + cilantro or watermelon + basil. I made some pineapple + basil popsicles once and they were divine! It screams summer.

Check in: First, my EDD is November 23rd (I saw that ?? up there  ) Things are going decent. Our carrier is feeling better and started back at work part time. I wish she was back full time - last month was really expensive for us and I'm starting to stress out about the financials. We budgeted in for unexpected costs, but who can plan for 11 missed days of work at 7weeks? UG. I know it's all worth it in the end...just a stressful trip to get there. 

QOTW: I love anything and everything on the grill. Italian sausage and peppers and onions on the grill is delicious..as is steak. I'll take it all!

Afm - currently on estrace for FET on 5/21 or 5/28. My RE will personally be doing the transfer. We are still working out the financial details and I'll need to have a cervical stitch placed in a couple weeks (this *should* make transfer easier, assuming my anatomy decides not to cooperate again) .

Qotw - iced coffee is my absolute favorite! But, as far as food is convened, I love grilled chicken and lots of salads!

PAIF Check-in: I had the fetal echo on Friday and it appears that baby girl's heart has a hole in it. She's still tiny and moves a ton so we have to go back in July for another echo. The dr said the hole could close on it's own or need surgery when she's about 4 months old. Of course I'm praying it'll be closed when we go back in July. [-O< I have another growth scan with the MFM today and hopefully she's still growing like she should and baby boy still seems to be perfectly fine.

QOTW: A cookout with hot dogs, baked beans and potato salad sounds yummy right now!

Update: ED had an appt on Friday and was stimming a little slow so she's coming back in tomorrow and I should be able to know a little more then about when the transfer will be.

QOTW: I love my homemade margaritas (which I will definitely miss if I ever get pregnant!) and then also BLTs with garden tomatoes. YUM!

Check in: Baby boy is breech and at 36 weeks was measuring at over 8 pounds, so we have a c-section scheduled for May 21. Excited to have a date, but sad to make my GC go through her first c-section. Can't believe he'll be here in 2 weeks!

@ceemonkey - Hope the appt. goes well but if you have to wait a few more days for an optimal outcome it'll be worth it.

AFM, all is pretty well here. I'll be 25w on Wednesday. Glucose test and growth scan u/s on Thursday. This is the longest we've gone without an u/s (4 weeks!) but since I can feel her moving now I'm not too anxious or worried. I am finally doing some steps that are making this feel real - we made a pediatrician meet/greet appointment, we have a meet/greet with the woman I expect will be our doula tomorrow, shower 'save the dates' went out, and J felt Simone kick a couple times now!

I still am plagued by IF brain and worry I'm being too presumptuous and somehow jinxing things by believing it's real, but I guess that just never really goes away 100%, and so I just try to ignore it and carry on.

QOTW: I am a big fan of grilling (no dishes, fast meals) and I agreed that baked beans, potato salad and hot dogs sound like a perfect dinner! Hm. Maybe tonight?!

AFM: 9w5d today and just had an u/s. Both babies seem to be doing well- I could see them moving their arms around today:-). It was my last appt at local RE as their machines aren't equipped for babies this big. She had a hard time measuring as the depth on her machine isn't strong enough. I have my first OB appt on Friday but stil haven't been released yet by RBA. Just not telling them!

I have clearly entered the depression stage of grief. I just hope it passes soon. I scheduled another consult with the DE Team from our original clinic. I figured it would be good to compare the two programs. I admit that I feel so clueless about all of this. I am open to any and all advice about picking a clinic. DH & I decided to do a 'ceremony' on Sunday with the hopes that it will give us some closure. We'll both write letters to Ninja (our blastocyst which we had so hoped would be our child) and bury them in the yard. We talked about planting a tree, so we'll see if we can get it together.

Not much going on here. I will hit 27 weeks this week and should be able to schedule my c-section at my next ob appointment in 2 weeks. My mil and sil are planning a shower for me in June...things are starting to feel real.

AFM: not much happening here. Our first RE appt is this coming mon to discuss what's next with our four remaing embryos. I imagine we will get on the schedule for late summer. DH kinda threw me off gaurd last night when I mentioned our appt and a late summer FET.... He wants to do a GS but he knows we can't afford it so it upset me a bit. Unless he's coming up with all that cash.... Were using my body. He does not like that idea after seeing me go thru two horrible miscarriages. (Can't help but feel like a embryo killer when he says that stuff) But I'm willing to keep pushing forward and do whatever it takes. Tryin to lose some weight the next few months and buckle down.
No word on our foster adoption stuff... One little lead on a newborn but it hasn't gone anywhere yet and I'm not holding my breath.

 I haven't checked in in a few weeks but I've been following and reading. I often don't get a chance to check in on Mondays and by the time Tuesday rolls around (like today), I feel like there are too many things I want to comment on, congratulate, offer condolences, etc. And so then I keep waiting until I have the time to do it justice, and then never post.

Congratulations to all of those with good and/or hopeful news. Even when I don't comment directly, I'm celebrating with you!

And big hugs and lots of loving support to those who are struggling and have had bad news recently.


***PAIF Update***



As for us, we're 14w6d today with twins. Had our first non-RE ultrasound yesterday at an ultrasound clinic. It went well and the twins were starting to look so much bigger with much more baby-like bodies. We have our midwife appointment today. I also have a doctor's appointment today for a general check-up to hopefully get the ok to begin an induced lactation protocol. (I had my consultation at the breastfeeding clinic a couple weeks ago and got my prescriptions, but they want me to have general physical first.)

Yesterday we announced our pregnancy on Facebook. We created a slideshow/video of photos of our pets with signs/pieces of paper that told the story of our journey to pregnancy "by the numbers" (e.g. number of months going to the fertility clinic, number of injections, number of medical procedures, number of H's eggs retrieved, number of embryos transferred into M, etc.). The reaction has been really positive, but I'm not sure that the people with negative reactions (because we shared too much "personal information" about infertility, because M is carrying embryos with my eggs, etc.) would actually say anything. It feels good to be totally out about infertility (we hadn't talked publicly about it  yet because we weren't ready for everyone to know we were trying) and being pregnant. But now I feel like I'm waiting for something bad to happen.

QOTW: Cheeseburgers on the BBQ. Drinks (doesn't have to be alcohol) on a patio. Ice cream outside.

Yay! I am so happy and excited for you to finally get to be a mom! This is such wonderful news that you will be doubly blessed. Arm, this is my first checkin over here as I just joined. I am in initial phases of research and gathering data on finances needed. Probably going the Donor egg route but I don't know how long that will take to pay off our last very expensive cycle... Qotd: I'm bad, but I look forward to hot dogs, potato chips, and corona:-)

Check-In: Everything is going well here! I have my 21dpiui Beta tomorrow morning, so I should have the results when I come in from work. I have already started feeling like shit with the morning sickness and being tired all the time, but hey, it’ll pass.

Sorry for the delay! I hope everyone had a happy Tuesday.

I have another lining check on Thursday - last Thursday we were at 6.8mm, almost there! I'm hoping this last week with my continued meds (estradiol & vivelle patches) keeps the growth coming. Hopefully I'll get my transfer date too on Thursday, all we are waiting for is a good healthy lining!

I also have my first follow-up appointment with my oncologist on Friday - he is going to review all the meds I'm taking to ensure nothing could increase a recurrence in the cancer. It is just a typical 3 month check-in (which I'll have to likely do for the rest of my life, but hey not a bad price to pay for being cancer free). Since this is the first one, I am a bit nervous they could find a recurrence, but I'll have to wait and see!

Not much new to report. Second US is scheduled for May 14th to see how much baby has grown in the past 2 weeks. At that US appt I will be 8 and a half weeks.
