Soooo I have yet to have some relief so I went out and bought some dried prunes, I've eaten 10 about two hours ago and their is no magic going on. For f***s sake can I please just do my business???? AHH!
What helps me is drinking prune juice first thing in the am. I drunk about half a cup followed by a full glass of water.. Within the hour i get a huge relief. That has become my daily routine.. Otherwise i can go up to like 3 days without relief.
I second the prune juice. It's worked fairly quickly for me. Also thinking about making a small portion part of my regular diet bc I am not going the days I don't drink it
@chelseamari I just tried it for the first time yesterday. I think it's gross!! Tastes like liquidy raisins to me and I don't like raisins to begin with. Blech.
If you can get dragon fruit it works wonders. We found this out accidently with dd. Bought one, she loved it so we gave her a bunch. About an hour later the poop was coming. We looked it up and dragon fruit is a natural laxative.
Yes, this. And dragon fruit has a super bland taste, so goes down much easier than prunes. Most grocery stores don't carry it though, at least where I live. I try to go to the farmer's market every other week or so and get some there.
What does prune juice taste like? I'm nervous to try it lol
Its not that bad. I drink it room temp. And i "chug" it. I hold my breath so i wont taste it and then i "chase" it down with water. I care about my relief .. I'll deal with the taste..

This!! Drinking it straight first thing in the morning is the best. My sister is a nurse and said something about the juice irritates the intestinal wall, which gets things moving! I have literally gone every day that I've done this, and I was never that regular before my BFP!

I hate raisins too. Perhaps I'll do the dragon fruit thing. Sigh.

Prune juice doesn't work that well for me, nor does Colace or extra water. I'm still trying to find something that will fix my severe stomach distress. Someone mentioned kiwi, and I haven't tried that yet. I guess it will be my next experiment.
Try Dr Oz green drink. They are tasty and full of fiber. I drink one and eat a hard boiled egg for breakfast and I am good til lunch. And I was a huge eater before being pregnant. https://www.doctoroz.com/videos/dr-ozs-green-drink
ok gang, this is perhaps the most horrifying admission I've had to make so far, so sorry for this in advance... I called my doctor after it had been 6ish days, they said enema. I said you have GOT to be kidding me, but they were concerned and let me know that a week means going in to get checked out, and being that my insurance is fairly lame, I decided to give it a go. It's... really not as bad as you think. And when it's that backed up and uncomfortable, totally worth the quick relief IMO.
Of course at this point I'm on a strict regime of psyllium husk in OJ every morning, smooth move tea a few evenings a week, and if I hit day three a shot of miralax.
I NEVER thought these would be words I would type on an internet forum. Oye.

It's been going on 3 days for me. My stomach is sick all the time and I'm just miserable. Idk what else to do!! So perhaps I'll start looking into that
