Eric-- boring or refreshing?

Okay, DH is not budging on any of my lovely name ideas so I am circling back on some of his.

He likes Eric Dean. This would go with big brothers Lucas Ryan and Joel David. Big sister is Delaney.

Yes, it was in the top 30's from 1961 to 1999 and has been in the top 100 until recently (as per SS site) as far as being dated. I'm actually the one who threw the name out there because of Eric on True Blood.

I like it.  I find it refreshing.  It is one of those names like Brian that is poised for a strong comeback.  You could just be ahead of the curve.  I love Dean and think the suggestion of Dean Eric is great!

It's my DH name.

I've always thought of it as simple but pretty. A smidge dated. Nevertheless, I'm glad he's not all about having a junior, because it's really NMS.

I like it.  Simple and classic.  Easy to spell and pronounce.  Not to mention I know an Eric IRL who I admire so much- truly awesome guy, so I certainly have a positive association with the name.  GL!

I like it! I think it's pretty timeless... my grandpa was Eric (born 90+ years ago) and I know a few little ones in the past 5 years or so with the name. I like that it's strong, sounds normal but isn't overused right now. Also love it paired with Dean:)
