I'm cheating on my BG's

I recently bought a Rumparooz pocket from a friend and I fell in love with it.  I then bought 4 more and like to use those first before my BG's.  They don't leak like my BG's do and are softer inside.  I feel like I'm cheating on my beloved BumGenius!

Please tell me I'm not crazy

If I had kids below the 50% for height I'd love RaR. They are well made, and I much prefer the fleece inside to BG suede cloth.

Definitely not crazy. And I agree, variety is good!

If my DS wasn't so huge, I would have used the RaR over BG too.  He loves his firetruck print RaR, but it barely fit him at 1.5 years.  I wish they made them a bit bigger.

And don't feel bad, I've recently started cheating with some Fuzzibunz.

My LO is % for weight and not sure about height, but he is short for his age.  The RAR's fit him nicely

My kid is short and prett petite, so now I'm intrigued with trying a RaR! I'm with @TJ1979‌, though, my BGs never leak, 4.0s or freetimes.

I love RaR. I have 35 RaR pockets and use them on all three of my boys every day. (I wash every day) I do have smaller kids..... 2 year old is 50% and the twins are 30%...... I can totally see them not fitting a larger child. They are perfect on my 2 year old but he is pretty short and only weighs 26 lbs. I am going to cheat on them though..... I bought some bamboo fitteds and covers for night time diapers because the pockets just are not doing the job through 10 hour nights. I can not wait until they come!!

Because I don't change him quickly enough. They are soaked after two hours.  MOTY right here.

Is it AIOs or pockets?  If it's pockets, could you switch to a more absorbent insert so that you get a little longer so he doesn't leak?

Yeah they are pockets.  The diapers are 2 years old and the liners are pretty flat compared to new fluffy liners.  Does that have anything to do with absorbency?  What would you recommend instead of microfiber?

I'm not a big pocket fan, but hemp or bamboo would be more absorbent.  Have you ever changed out the leg elastic?  That is known for getting loose on the 4.0's, and is really easy to replace, no sewing required.

Prefolds or flats are awesome for pocket stuffing and are very economical.  Other options would be something like AppleCheeks 2-ply bamboo inserts or I think alva makes a bamboo blend that gets recommended a lot.

I replaced the elastic on more than 1/2 the diapers I have.  The BG elastic sucks.
