Don't mean to be a downer....

But I feel like you ladies would understand. We had to put our beloved dog down last night. Her stomach twisted and she was 12yo so the surgery was not recommended. We are so sad. Daisy got us through so much with IF and she stuck by my side while I was on bed rest. Probably the most heartbreaking is how much Clare loved her. One of her first words was Daydee, and she wakes up every morning calling for her.

The tears just keep coming and I don't know what I expected, but I guess I didn't think I'd feel so sad. That seems silly I guess. I never had a dog growing up, and it's true what they say, the love is unconditional. Thanks for letting me get it out....

    Oh hon. I'm so sorry. I cried for months when I lost my sweet Skyy-bear. The heartache will get better, but you will never forget Daisy. Big hugs to you and your family.

    ((Hugs)) I'm so sorry. Losing a pet is losing a family member! It's ok to be sad. It will get better with time. It sounds like you made a compassionate, but always hard, choice for her. I hope you can find comfort knowing she isn't in pain anymore.

    IVF #1 = BFN
    FET #1 = BFN
    FET #2 = BFN
    IVF #2 = BFP, b/g twins lost at 20w due to partial abruption/PPROM
    IVF #3 = c/p 5w2d
    Long-shot Clomid/Prednisone cycle before next IVF = BFP, our beautiful, healthy girl born 6/26/13!

    Oh Whales, I'm so sorry. Our little pooch means the world to me. The further down the rabbit hole we went the more her status grew (DH let her start sleeping in the bed once we started seeing the RE).

    My heart goes out to you and your family. Huge hugs. I totally understand :(

    Second u/s, 176bmp! Kicked over to the OB by the RE at 8w. Team Green!! 
    Baby girl J arrived two weeks early! Born into water, med-free. Hooray for Team Pink!

    TTC #2 - back to the RE, treatment started 12/2014.

    Big hugs. It is so hard to lose a good dog. I bawled for days when I put mine down.

    I'm so sorry for your loss. You did the loving thing by putting her to sleep, but that doesn't make it easier to say goodbye.

    I am so sorry. We often talk about the sad day we lose our German Shep. Weird I know but also know no other dog will replace her. No loss is ever easy.

    Multiple ectopics, 2 failed IVF's
    IVF #1: Did not get to ET, embies all failed PGD (major chromosomal defects)
    IVF #2: We have 2 chromosomally perfect embies as a result of PGD (Boy/Girl) 1 failed the thaw (Girl) Transferred 1, yet ended as a c/p
    Thought it was the end of our TTC Journey 6/20/2012
    SHOCK BFP 9/28/2012: IT'S A BOY! and everything is normal !!!!!!

    Little A born 38w 2d on 05/23/13 and is a true miracle for this IF Vet!

    I am so sorry. Big hugs. I am dreading that day, even more so now that G is here. I think it makes is so much harder when our little ones also fall in love with our furkids.  :(

    I'm so so very sorry.....DH & I were talking the other day about our little furbaby and how he will be 7 pretty soon....  As pp said, he got us through some really tough times.....loosing a pet is devastating..my heart aches for you.  Grieve for your Daisy....she gave you years of unconditional love.  ((HUGS))

    appointment with MFM 1/5.  Looks like this is really happening!
