Thinking of you and baby Maddie today. So happy that you were able to go home and hoping that she stays put a while longer. Stay strong little mama! You're in my prayers.
Thank you all for your encouragement and support. I went in with high blood pressure (150/100) and it came down on its own. No certain cause, though I am dealing with severe polyhydramnios which is the suspected culprit.
Just when I thought I was off the hook, the contractions started. I was only dilated to 1cm but with the contractions so regular and getting increasingly uncomfortable, we thought it might be it. They gave me a fetal fibronectin test which was positive, so now we can't rule out labor starting soon, but it isn't definitive. The contractions continued through the night but by morning they were spacing out. Relieving and frustrating all in one.
I'm home without restrictions because we have decided not to prevent early labor, but I'm exhausted and completely divided. I am so not ready for this, yet every day it gets harder. I think knowing what Aly went through, the reality has really hit me like a train. I'm just so unprepared.
@alygoo615 is the best birth buddy I could ask for. Not only did she offer to update everyone for me without hesitation, but she talked with me until nearly 2am, both unable to sleep. Our connection has been mutually therapeutic, and I just wanted to say to everyone how much she has helped me through this. Amazing in any situation, but especially given what she's going through. Feeling truly blessed to know her, and to have all of your support (especially my @literachick). Thanks again!
Yes! Great update! Stay in there little girl. And bora, you hang tight Hun. Clearly your LO is kickin ass in there and that alone is enough to be proud of.
