aw.vent

Okay I love where we live but can I please vent about living here for one minute. I spent almost two weeks with a stomach virus and I'm currently having an allergic reaction to... well I have no f*&%ing clue what and I'm so far from home! This is the second reaction in about two months and my eyelids are swollen and I'm frustrated. Here's to starting my week off in the doctor's office trying to figure it out - sick day on Monday.

Re: aw.vent

  • Both times I went to Mexico I had an allergic reaction to something, still don't know what but my face was swollen and I was red and itchy on my arms and legs. I still have no idea what caused it (both times) the only thing I thought of was maybe from too much sun if thats even possible. No one understood my anxiety over it at the time but to me it was a big deal! It's so uncomfortable and especially not knowing where it's coming from makes you suspicious of everything. I hope you feel better soon, it won't last forever!

  • I know, allergic reactions really freak me out. The only other one I've ever had was to a medicine when I was 2 and it was severe.

We played volleyball last night and I was in the grass a lot and now today I'm itchy and swollen so maybe it is the grass here. Maybe that and a mix of stress!
  • Aw man, that is rough. I'm sorry!
I'm allergic to damn near everything, so i sort of brush it off now unless it's like "skin lesions" allergic, BUT nothing i am allergic to makes my eyes swell and that sounds terrifying. Good luck with your doctor, i hope they figure it out for you! ((hugs))

  • We're in the Philippines... and I think it's mango. I'm having another reaction now and I had mango last night. I've always sort of thought I was "sensitive" to it but now I'm pretty sure I can claim it as an allergy.
  • Glad you have figured it out and know now to stay away from it, sorry your allergic. Hope you feel better asap.
