AW: popped my NIP cherry...with no cover!!

So my mom does a walk for breast cancer every year and DH and I went to cheer her on at the finish line. LO got hungry and I came prepared with layered shirts.

It totally wasn't as bad as I expected! Of course LO was playing with my nipple at first so I kept having to readjust, but I do believe we stayed pretty modest!

I figured a fundraiser for boobs was a perfect place to start.

We then went out to dinner and I had to nurse there too! My mom initially said "I'm sure they'll let you sit over there"....where there were no people around, but I said no...that I just needed to do it and not seclude myself! It was great. No one even cared.

I definitely feel like this will be doable.

Anyone else finally NIP??

I am impressed by those of you who can walk and nurse at the same time. I can barely stand up to change positions.

I did that once at home, don't trust myself to do it in public yet!

But I fed Kinley twice at panera today, no cover! I've done it a couple times- keeps getting easier with more practice. I've found the less weird you act about it, the less everyone else seems to care or notice.

I NIP all over the place too. The funniest time was in Target when I plopped down in the display glider to nurse her and a pregnant woman who was obviously completing a registry came over to ask if it was a comfortable nursing chair. I had a whole conversation with a complete stranger in the middle of Target with Ava nursing away the whole time!

Congrats! I've NIP at places that don't "really" count, like the cry room at church, or my car, or a dressing room in a store, but I think my first real time was just this past Thursday, at the zoo. There was an area with picnic tables and it faced a pond, so I just sat at a table with the exposed side pointed between my stroller (for added privacy) and the pond. And I had layered shirts for help. LO was pretty good- he flailed around less than usual!
