While looking for a name for dd2 I found Maille. It is Gaelic and pronounced May-lee. Would you spell it this way or is there a better spelling?

I would think you were getting creative with spelling and I would pronounce it Miley (My-Lee)

When I saw the post title, my first thought was to pronounce it like "male" (or "mail" for that matter). Or maybe Mile, Miley, etc. I agree I'd probably go with Molly.

I went to grad school with a woman with this name. I cannot argue the right or wrong of it, but she pronounced it My-lee.

I actually love it. I think you can get away with it with the original spelling as long as you introduce her, it's not that big or a deal and it's easy to say.
