Is Your Crib Set Up?

I'm 24 weeks and can't decide if we should set up our crib yet or wait another few weeks. Do you have yours put together yet?

CRAP - forgot the "bought it but it's not set up yet" option! Use "SS" for that...

Currently it is set up as a daybed in the toddler room. A few more weeks and I will slap the side of it back up so that everyone can get accustomed to the idea of it as a crib.

STM. DS is still in it, so yes. We need to switch him out soon though. With him, we didn't buy it and put it up until 32 weeks.

None of these. My shower is in a month and the crib is on our registry. My SO's aunt wanted to buy the crib and bedding for us, so we won't get it until then

I'm using DD's old crib so it's set up. Just moved it into DS's room, but it's not ready for him yet. We will use the pnp for the first six months anyways. Working on getting the room ready to paint etc. first before bedding goes on it.

I'm even worse: not only have I not bought the crib, we haven't even decided if we are getting a second one or not! I haven't pulled out baby clothes, or the bassinet, or the PNP, or even gotten my newborn cloth diapers back from the lady I lent them too.

We recently converted it back to a crib from toddler bed, so J can get used to it and stop using it as a trampoline! When we moved to this house we put it, unassembled, in the nursery room, so we would be less inclined to store random crap in there... that we'd just have to move out again when preparing the room for a baby. So technically our has been up and not occupied by older sibling, since TTC!

We have registered for one & H's grandparents have hinted at wanting to buy it for us for our shower. The shower isn't until July 12th, so the crib won't be set up for a while. I'm not too concerned though, they seem easy to put together & baby will be in the co-sleeper for a few months anyway.

Technically yes but DD is still sleeping in it. We are working on setting up her a new room and we are borrowing a crib from SIL for it. We haven't really started her room yet. We did pick paint colors this week though.

I went back an forth on trying to decide if I wanted to buy a crib and put ds1 in a toddler bed. I finally came to the conclusion to buy a crib since I wasn't ready to transition him into a new bed and a new room. To many changes for him. So we bought a ikea crib that can just go to a toddler bed. Its still in the box in the garage and will stay there until rooms are finished.

I put SS. Ours is taken apart, sitting in the closet (DS never really slept in it) and the mattress is laying on the floor in his room. I have been feeling the urge to actually put it back together in the past week or so just so we stop looking like squatters. Ha.

I don't plan on having the baby sleep there for quite a while so I'm not really rushed in that respect, but it will make the room look nicer and more put together like a nursery again.

I feel so unprepared!! I have bought nothing but baby clothes. Granted a lot of the things we need will be given to us by other siblings but as for the bedroom set, NADA. We're moving in 2 weeks and then we'll get everything we need.

We bought it in 1st tri set it up after it came in, however there's no mattress or bedding and baby will be in a pack n play for a month or 2 before transferring to the crib

Because our two will have to share a room, the second crib won't be set up for a while. Probably closer to the weeks when this LO will be moving in with his/her big brother, that way he gets used to the room changes. But I voted bought, but not set up because I bought it second hand last week and it was delivered to my parents house. Until we do that, we plan on using the pack n play (currently at my parents house), but it won't come here until slower to August so DS can still go for sleep overs.

Ours is set-up only because Babies R Us came and did it for us. We had so any problems with one of our dressers that they offered to set it up for free, in our second floor nursery, I wasn't going to say no! Otherwise it would probably still be in a box in the garage.

SS. It's technically set up in the nursery, but the nursery is still DS2's room until the end of May. Then we'll be setting up the old crib as a toddler bed for him in his brother's room.

Yes, mainly because it's been leaning against a wall since we took it apart and out of DS's room in December. It was either put it back together or leave it against the wall, so we put it back together. DS helped and it's been one way of helping prepare him for a sibling.

We do have the pnp already from dd. We use it with her when we travel.

Bought it but it came with damaged parts. Waiting on the bedding now, to get the paint started. And parts won't be here until 3rd week of May so we have to wait until then!

Ours is in pieces under the guest bed. We need to get rid of said guest bed and put the crib together at some point.

Poor LO #2...I'm afraid he will always be a not neglected when compared to his big sister.

STM, DS still in crib. DS#2 will be in a bassinet for the first 3-4 months, so not worried about switching out of the crib just yet; will get a toddler bed for DS1 probably in June/July to have on hand for the transition.

We set up at 16 weeks. I've got the nursery completed besides a glider and some wall decals. But baby will be sleeping in her crib and room immediately and I wanted it ready. We also had just moved in so I was a monster lady trying to turn this place into a home. I painted and set up the dresser alone because I was so crazy lol

I put SS, because we still have our crib set up from our 3 year old, in the daybed way. We just recently got her bed all set up so she's in her big girl bed now and all my H has to do is put the side part back up and the crib is ready! I already have the nursery bedding ready too.

I feel more on top of things with this one than I have with my other two. lol.

We are using dd's old crib but we can't set it up yet. We might be moving before she is born and if not then we can't set it up right away bc we need the room for guests that come stay with us.

We bought a convertible for DS and its currently in his room as a full size bed. DD bedroom furniture is going to be an antique set I got from my grandmother that we are having refinished. Then we are going to put DS in the bed with that set and put the crib in her room until she can convert then we will swap the beds back. I'm hoping to have the refinished set back by mid July!
