Success after IUI with low sperm count

I'm having my first IUI this upcoming week. DH has low sperm count and due to his work schedule we had to freeze his sperm just incase we couldn't get an evening appt for the IUI because my husband works days. Has anyone had success with IUI? And has anyone has success if their DH had low sperm count? I'm trying to stay positive. We really hope the first try works. But we know it could take multiple especially since we had to freeze his sperm.

We had our daughter after 2 rounds of IUI. No sperm count issues for us but good luck, I hope this is it for you!

Our one successful IUI was with one million post-wash. I think most doctors in the States wouldn't have done it with so few sperm (we are living in Kenya).

The caveat is that we also had sex 24 hours before and after the IUI and DH doesn't typicall suffer from sperm count issues. We just had a terrible experience with actually getting the sample, hence the one million. So, who knows if it was the sex with normal sperm counts or the IUI with the low count.

DH had low sperm count. We also had about 1 million count. We froze a sample. IUI was not recommended for us because of the count. We went right on to IVF. Good luck.

The only diagnosis we have is low count. It took 2 IUIs for ds. For the twins, which I am currently pg with it took about 7 IUIs and 11 medicated cycles, a few were cancelled and or we did TI.

At our clinic we don't get exact counts with IUIs just grades, acceptable, fair and poor. Every time we get an acceptable I haven't gotten pg. Both out successful cycles have been with low grades. And this last time it was twins. So good luck!
