Just found out guessing 5 weeks but no doc confirmed yet

I just found out I am pregnant this past week. Based on my last period, I am just over 5 weeks. I took three different tests to make sure before I told my hubby yesterday. I took a test last Thursday April 24th, then another on Sunday the 27th, and the last one this past Thursday May 1st. I think I just couldn't believe it since it really wasn't planned but we had tried previously with no success. This will be our first but I am nervous. My husband made the announcement which makes me more nervous since it still hasn't been confirmed by the doctor that it is viable. I have symptoms, sore breast, extreme fatigue, burping (yeah I guess it is a symptom) and headaches. I also (sorry tmi) am having to wear a liner because I am constantly wet. LOL I have never been pregnant before so I hope all goes well. I making an apt this week so I am just praying it is going to stick. I am 38 years old and my husband is 40. This will be our first.

Thank you. I have to wait till june 4th. My ob gyn wants to wait till they can see the heartbeat between 9 and 11 weeks. Ugggh

Yeah, my doc made me wait until I was 12 weeks in from my last period as well.  The waiting SUCKED, despite my BFP (two of them!). 

Waiting is hell, but the time'll go by.

Thanks. I almost want to keep testing to check but I know a positive is a positive. Three of them in a week. Lol

Congrats!  I took a home test when I was about 5 weeks based on my last period.  I called my primary care provider (i didn't have an OB yet) and i did a urine test there and got it a positve- then got refered to an OB. I got seen about 2 weeks later when I was closer to 8 weeks and I had an internal ultrasound done.  Waiting is hard but heres to a healthy and sticky pregnancy  

BTW i'm 35 and will be 36 when i deliver with my first.

Congrats! All of your symptoms sound right on to me ( I am also a burper). The waiting game is no fun for sure. It sounds like we will have similar due dates!

Glad to be around moms to be my age. We have so many other things to worry about but I am staying positive. Happy and healthy you ladies and congrats.It is nice to talk to ladies in the same boat.
