Pregnant after a Loss

the closer I get to my first us, the less pregnant I feel

I go tuesday and im 7 weeks. I cant help but replay the same scenario in my head from my last pregnancy. Its like the closer it gets the less pregnant I feel, which I know sounds ridiculous. I just cant help but think why would this time be any different? Its amazing what your mind can really do to you.

Hang in there, it's a tough road and pgal brain is a huge mindfluck.

Try to remember this isn't the same pregnancy as your last one. Every night in bed we (dh. & I ) rub over my uterus area and chant grow lil baby grow! This has helped me stay calm and was a great reminder of the famous pgal mantra "today I'm pregnant and I love my baby."

    All ALers welcome!
  • Please know that what you are feeling is very normal and unfortunately a part of being PGAL. However, every pregnancy is different and just because you had a very sad ending last time it doesn't mean that this will be the case again. Thinking positive thoughts for you.

First u/s are scary. But as the other ladies have said, this is a different pregnancy from your last. Just because things went badly before doesn't mean they will this time. I know it's hard to think other wise. But remember, good things do happen, even to us PgAL ladies.

  • The minute my nausea lets up, PGAL brain creeps in. You aren't alone. Hang in there and like others said, remind yourself that today you are pregnant and love your baby.

You're definitely not alone! I feel the same way everyday!! I convince myself that my preg symptoms are gone or I'm not bloated or showing enough.. But then I remember when I was pregnant with my son (didn't know any better then- carefree before mcs), I had NO symptoms and felt great throughout! I also looked like a waif w a six pack still at 8+ weeks! Not so much this time around!!! Hang in there! The mind is a very tricky beast! Keep it at bay!
  • Im in the same boat. Im almost 6 weeks and hardly feel pg at all. Have had 2 m/c at 6 weeks so i just feel like my time limit is up. Hang in there. Its so hard.not to stress!
